Surprisingly quiet

I just needed a safe place near the train station to crash on a Saturday night after arriving in the country. When I checked in I was a little worried about the party hostel vibes in the lobby where the music was really loud, but once I got up to my room it was incredibly quiet and cozy!

Amazing price for city centre hotel

The hotel is in great city centre location. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. The staff made us very welcome and do a great job. The live entertainment was good.

The staff were excellent throughout my stay. Polite, friendly and accessible. The bar is pretty big, and inexpensive. I liked the room. It was clean, secure and comfortable. TV has various channels and you can log into your own account with several apps. Pretty quiet, building works nearby (obviously out with the control of the hotel. Two minutes walk from everything you need to access, so you avoid the noise of both day and night time economy. Not expensive, and better than I expected, to be honest. I didn't have breakfast, so can't rate that. I also stayed alone in a family room. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel overall. The negatives were noise from the street down below. The windows are not soundproof and actually thought they were open due to being able to hear people talking 3 storeys down. The bathroom was very small. Room had some brown stains on wall. Lots of positives though. Staff super freindly. Bed was super comfy. Double bed and bunk bed for extra people. The hotel doubles up as a hostel for homeless. Noce bar. Lovely for younger crowds. Good location in city. Parking nearby at small cost.

This was my second time staying at Kabannas and had another enjoyable stay. We stayed in a private double room this time and the room was clean, plenty spacious, and the bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was a little small but suitable with a good shower. There were enough plug sockets too which were confidently located. The bar area is a nice area with food and drinks well priced, and the staff are also very friendly! The location was good, within a 10-15 minute walk from the main station, town centre and football stadium. Kabannas offers great value for money and I would happily stay here again, and recommend the hotel for those visiting Newcastle and looking for a good value for money place to stay.
