Virginia Beach Nightmare Mansion Hotels

"My daughter has volleyball tournaments in Virginia Beach so I consider my stays here as mini vacations. I booked a room on the first floor this time. It actually feels more like home when you look outside and see the grass / boardwalk/ beach and Ocean... No elevator needed:-) See you again this summer!"

"The tv was either broken or very cheap. It was too small for the room and sounded like tin cans connected with string. The room was pretty clean but definitely worn down. MDF furniture had missing chunks, the paint job in the room and hallways looked like “landlord special” (painted over hardware, etc) and it smelled a little musty-don’t know why any beach hotel would still use carpet. Curtains were dirty at the bottom and broken at the top. Water pressure in yhe shower was a trickle and the toilet struggled to flush. I wouldn’t #2 in there lol The AC was amazing though! View was spectacular. If you’re on a budget, it’s fine if you’re able to spend two or 300 extra I would look elsewhere."

"The room was amazing! I felt it was very affordable and exceeded my expectations. It’s a good location and I like the parking garage. The views were amazing and it was well stocked, clean, and a very nice room. What I didn’t love is that there is an unexpected $200 “security deposit” that they actually charge your card at check in and in addition to your resort fees. We checked in on Friday and checked out Sunday and the charges have not been reversed. We also haven’t received the receipt for our stay. I would have probably overlooked all that but Friday night after 9 I received a text from the hotel reminding me about no pets, smoking, or party policies and that we could be subject to a $500 fee and eviction. We weren’t even at the hotel when I received the text and just thought it was distasteful and rude to even send text that late and context. We were celebrating my husband’s 56th birthday and clearly not the trashing hotel type. It would make me think twice about booking there again. "

"Our room was very clean, with comfortable beds, a huge bathroom and an unbeatable balcony overlooking the beach. The breakfast provided was hot & tasty. "

"The best part was the large room that was clean. The view was also amazing, we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The staff was also very personable and helpful. The downside was the hotel just being in need of renovation, other guests causing the hallways and elevator to smell like weed. "
