Perfect Beachfront Property

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was very nice and having beachfront access was awesome! The beach was quiet and clean and the house was so wonderful!

ANT INFESTATION AND REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WITHHELD

We had two major issues with our stay: 1. When we arrived there was an ant infestation to the point where our daughter did not want to sleep in her room because of the ants, and due to the Covid-19 virus we did not want anyone in the home to treat the house for ants so we had to buy toxic ant spray rather than have the house exterminated while we were there. The owner should have had the house inspected prior to our arrival; 2. We had a trained mini, non-shedding service dog, with paperwork, which although we are not required by law to notify owner, we did in the comment section to the lease. Nevertheless, despite our paying for damage insurance (there was none), the owner withheld our refundable deposit b/c of her no-dogs-allowed policy and claiming we did not tell her (which we did). Not only do we not have to tell her about a service dog by law, but we did in fact tell her in the comments to the lease, which I re-sent the screenshot of for her review. She still refused to return our deposit and we had to file a claim against her for the return of our money.

This home is beautifully designed and decorated. And the location is priceless. Our family had a fantastic trip and will definitely rent again. Owners are friendly and comunícate well. Perfect summer vacation spot!

Good location for Channel Islands

This is a good place to stay if you are going to Channel Islands as it is close to the ferry and a nice variety of restaurants. It's not a great beach location given all of the shipping traffic and fishing industry there. The rental is good a bit tired, with chipped paint, appliances that don't work well. The rental agreement is the most involved I've had to complete for a VRBO. LOTS of you-better-do-ALL-of-this-or-else wording. It's clearly a corporate rental vs. a person/family, so don't expect any humanity for checking in early (will incur a 150 fee of your deposit even if cleaners have long been gone) and other nice accommodations. It was good enough for our trip purposes but I would not stay here again.

Disappointed

The lockbox was broken, and they key was just lying there. The beautiful windows were so dirty someone wrote their name on them, and we could barely see through the dirt. Spending all this money for an ocean view was a waste of our money. Our first visit was to the store so we could get window cleaner. There are 3 TVs upstairs, but only one remote. The couch was built for someone very tall. So uncomfortable for us because we are not tall. Built in ice maker was nonoperational so we had to rely on the slow refrigerator icemaker. We had to purchase ice to keep up with our needs. Dishwasher worked so poorly we had to hand wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Nice looking house, but the amenities need to be worked on.

Wonderful beach house!

Beautiful home right on a fabulous, huge, sandy beach! Everything was just as described. Wall of windows looking out to the ocean from the family room/kitchen was a special feature. Spent lots of time on the roof with fireplace and hot tub. We loved the quiet communities of Oxnard & Ventura. Communicating with Marcie was easy and fast. We had a wonderful family Christmas vacation!

Amazing Beach Side Home

A group of 9 friends traveled to Silverstrand Beach to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The host was welcoming and helpful with all things regarding our stay. Multiple times the locals would ask how we found such a nice beach and honestly it was the house listing. It is exactly as shown. The hot tub takes a quick YouTube to adjust settings. Amazing views of large ships pulling into port, a shipwreck to the left of the lifeguard stand. The longest softest secluded beach RIGHT when you step outside. Plan to relax and enjoy the neighborhood- beautiful landscaping, a marina with seals and The Strand restaurant serving amazing food and drinks. One of our best bookings through VRBO.

Our Fave in Oxnard

Beautiful, clean home in a perfect location. This home is so tastefully designed and cared for. Everything we hoped for and more! The attention to detail, comfort and care is unparalleled. The view is marvelous and the property owners and their staff kind, receptive and timely in addressing our very few concerns. We loved staying here and will be back for sure! Oxnard-Who knew?

We had the MOST wonderful and relaxing time at this perfect gem of a beach house. The location is just right, quiet and not overrun with tourists. The home is beyond gorgeous and well appointed, calming and peaceful. The views are stunning and there are plenty of quiet spaces all over the house to retreat to and relax. We loved it so much we are ready to make this our yearly end of summer family beach house. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Magical beachfront house

We needed a place for Christmas for my immuno compromised daughter. It’s all in from all over the country to stay at this beautiful Silverstrand beachfront house. The sunsets from the rooftop are spectacular. This is a quiet end of the beach. Close to everything and lots to do. magical memories.

Family Beach Weekend

Beautiful home along Silver Strand Beach. The big foldaway sliders on the main floor are a real treat. Loved the kitchen and the open floor plan of the main room. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Access to the beach was amazing. Can't wait for a return trip.

Beautiful Beachfront!

My family and I spent the holiday weekend here and it’s a beautiful property right on the beach. We have stayed in this owners other property as well. They are both beautifully maintained! Definitely would book again!

Beautiful beach access home

The property has a beautiful view of the ocean. Quick easy access to a semi private beach. Spotted seals and dolphins. Perfect spot for our vacation!

Ultimate "WOW" Beach House

This house went above and beyond everyone's expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is beautiful. Tastefully decorated with with a very upscale coastal beach decor. You always felt very comfortable. It was a milestone birthday and it is truly one I will never forget; as well as my family. My nieces and nephew waited 6 months for this trip. It was their first vacation and they will remember this for the rest of their lives and want to do it again soon. The looks on their faces the first time they saw the sunset on the beach was priceless, or when they saw the house in person. Even they said it was luxurious. The whole experience was fabulous. And Marci was wonderful to work with. We will defiantly be back!!

Quiet, Serene Luxury Retreat

This property is FABULOUS. The ocean view is incredible! The house is CLEAN, cozy & comfortable. I was able to work remote, because the WIFI is EXCELLENT - no issues using ZOOM or TEAMS. The house comes equipped with everything you need! We will definitely visit this property again. You will not be disappointed.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at Silver Strand. The views, being right on the beach, easy drive to great hikes, to nice restaurants and towns etc. The home has everything you need, is clean and is beautifully furnished. I personally love that there were dimmers on most lights. We so enjoyed the hot tub on roof top every evening after a fun day of activities. Marcie was always super quick to respond to any question we had. We hope to be back soon!!! Thanks Marcie!

Perfect Getaway

This home was absolutely beautiful. The beach is your backyard. The rooftop fire pit and jacuzzi were perfect for the chilly nights. The interior gave perfect beach house vibes without overdoing it. Everything you need is less than a 10 minute drive. Marcie was a great communicator. You’ll love this place. It was 6 adults and it had the perfect amount of space.

Fantastic property

This house is amazing. Honestly one of my favorite trips we’ve ever taken. And the property managers are super attentive if you end up having any questions or need anything. Only thing to be aware of, if you have small kids, is there are NO blackout curtains so except for the bunk bed room which stays pretty dark, be prepared for your kids to wake up EARLY :) but when you’re at a place this lovely why would you want to waste time sleeping, anyway?

Beachfront getaway

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beachfront paradise. The property was nicely remodeled and has been well maintained. The aesthetics were gorgeous and we loved the huge sliding glass door/balcony that overlooked the ocean. Our three children had a blast in the the bunk bed room downstairs while the grandparents enjoyed the views from the master suite upstairs. The rooftop deck hot tub was fun and the garage had a few supplies for the beach (umbrella, chairs, toys). The location was secluded at the end of Silver Strand beach and we could watch large ships leave from the port. Overall, we had a great vacation at this beach house and would recommend this property to others.

Family Celebration

We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday at this wonderful home. The overall experience was amazing. The property is well equipped and is cosmetically pleasing to the eye from one end to the other. The rooftop deck was fabulous to watch the sunsets and hang out in the hot tub. The main living area is complemented by the full wall of windows that open to allow the ocean breeze to cool the home and give the full beach experience. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
