“Staff were lovely, particularly around the pool & pool bar area. Reception & Shop all very good. Setting was great and the resort had a really good feel about it... BUT... The villa (No.26) was shocking. It was dull, dark, had no useable outside area and was simply somewhere you do not want to spend time...; Very old fashioned, terrible lighting, really dull and just in need of a revamp... “The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. “As a couple we stayed at this hotel on 1st May 2024. The reason we chose, was because it would accept pets, and we have 2 dogs. The hotel is happy to accept them, as long as they are well behaved. In addition you need to be aware that you are liable for any damage. This was not a problem for us as our dogs are well trained and responsive. I would imagine humans cause a lot more damage! We paid about €80 for our room, which was clean, tidy and spacious. There was a fridge, coffee machine, and……

“I will say that arriving to the location was challenging with a car. The receptionist was too fast with directions to get our rental safely parked (nearby grocery store overnight). I realize she's been at the job awhile so it may seem quite simple for her. We did appreciate the apartment but the entry door, 3 flights up, is literally at the commune kitchen. Busy area with guests! The view on top terrace was the best asset.”

“Wir haben uns wunderbar erholt. Einfache aber saubere Unterkunft. Jeden Tag wurde gereinigt und die Betten gemacht. Alle 2 Tage frische Handtücher. Für ein Studio nicht selbstverständlich. Parkplatz und Fahrkarten für die Bummelbahn sind mit dabei. Zum Essen würde ich die nahegelegenen Lokale in Santa Lucia oder Tavira empfehlen. Wir werden wiederkommen”
