“The Expedia listing said “pay at property,” but I was charged through Expedia and then charged again by the hotel for the stay. On top of that, there were several hidden fees that were never clearly disclosed. The hotel charged $25 per day for parking in an almost empty lot, plus extra amenity fees for basic features that should already be included. “The beach that the Zota Beach Resort is on is the best part of this place. White sand, beautiful water, and not too crowded even during spring break. Your resort fee includes 2 lounge chairs, but an umbrella or an additional chair costs $40 each. I was not happy when they ran out of umbrellas and wouldn't let us put one up that a local friend had. The overall service and attitude of the staff (front desk, bars, and restaurant) were below average. Our room was a nice size, and was clean. ”

“Breakfast choices are very good. Very quiet and comfortable room. It is 100 year old hotel with character, so won't expect Four Seasons. But it is off the beaten pad hotel in almost residential area safe for evening strolls. Happy with our choice to stay there couple of days during our travels.”

“I stayed the week with 3 teenage girls who had the time of their lives. We felt very safe, there was so much to do & the beach was absolutely gorgeous. All of the restaurants were excellent. The Italian Palms Court was our favorite. We never left the resort. Very happy with our stay. ”

“This hotel is great! friendly and helpful staff, clean and large room (the quality is particularly amazing given the low price), and it is walkable to the Ringling mueseum. The only thing I am not that satisfied is the strong smell of disinfectant in the room. Will definitely consider this place once I visit Sarasota again.”

“Was fortunate to stay in their newly opened wing. Super clean, great amenities, friendly staff. Parking is nearby and validated by hotel (sundial parking garage). Ver walkable to local restaurants and Jannus Landing. Will stay again to visit Dali museum and the Pier. Nice coffee shop in lobby and they are working on a rooftop bar.”
