Sunset bungalow on Nusa Penida Island:
OK, so a lot to say about this villa. Me and my friend came to Bali and stayed at 6 different places over 4 weeks. I think this was our least favourite mainly for the fact that it was not convenient. Don’t get me wrong the hotel villa itself was fine, but the location was extremely inconvenient and not accessible to using grab to book a car driver it made that not possible at all, which meant that the local taxis could charge you whatever price they wanted. It was also not accessible to restaurants. There was only two restaurants nearby that were attached to hotels. So I would not recommend going to this hotel because it was not worth it. Although it looks like you are close to the beach, it is a cliff and so you cannot actually access the beach at all. You can just see the ocean!! This is so important because I booked this place thinking that I would be able to go down to the beach and you cannot access the beach. We even went on a journey to try to get closer to the beach and it was like a 20 minute walk before we got to a boat launch area. Worth noting that their pool is beautiful and relaxing and calm and serene and you can see the ocean from the pool which makes for a really nice aesthetic and vibe. But we could not use the grab Gojek app. We booked a day driver to take us to Kelingking Beach and Broken Beach and those basic excursions but aside from that it felt very secluded and isolated. We just had to stay at our hotel.
Even though there was no fridge and the road to go there was quite dangerous (not recommended if you are not good enough at riding a motorbike), The staff was such friendly and good service as they can. Their home-make breakfast was so fantastic. Their warm welcome makes you feel like home.
This place is completely run down. It needs major remodel and should not be open.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Location: Great – it's right on the beach, and there's a boat service for dolphin watching right in front of the hotel.
Room and Facilities: The room is a good size and simple with the basics, but the cabinet is a bit old.
Bedding: The bed is okay, but the blanket is quite thin.
Bathroom: There are some rust stains, but they don't affect usability. The bathtub and water heater work well
Breakfast: Limited options, but satisfactory
Staff: The staff is nice and friendly
Unfortunately this property needs a lot of work. Whilst I would like the locals to be supported, issues were road access to get there, on the map it looks close to Toya Pakeh Harbour but it takes 20 minutes to access via car on poor roads, even by Nusa Penida standards!
Some issues with the room were poor bathroom design (toilet at one end with open shower spraying all over), basin about to fall off the wall, no plumbing so basin water runs straight to the floor. No cupboard or bench to put anything. One curtain was installed back to front and not block out like the other. Only one charging plug inside, we used the kettle outside. No tea and coffee provided.
Bed was ok. Front sliding door one side was jammed. Staff were helpful with organising snorkeling , breakfast was basic but that’s ok.
We checked out after one night instead of two and stayed closer to the harbour. I am hoping this provides a bit of constructive feedback for the owners to repair a few things.
Incredible views and great infinity pool but the room was very small, only one power outlet, dirty walls and mouldy curtains. Air con was very good, shower was awful - in the middle of the bathroom so the whole room a d toilet was wet and sandy, only cold water and stayed humid and dark, though there were big gaps on the side/roof.
Staff are friendly but also bothersome and the place looms so close to the harbour bur you have to take a scooter or walk many hills and very bad roads to get there. Was overcharged for transport to town/harbour
Very nice! The hosts are awesome and having such a good time. It really makes an impact on the stay. They are really the sweetest people! Little too many flies in the restaurant and could be nice with a fridge in the room. But a beautiful view and a great pool. Would definitely come back another time!!!
Otherwise all good, but location afar from main road and town with car/sccoter, because of island has very bad roads, outsideof main road, I would choose some on main road in town.
Staff were friendly. View to ocean was beautiful. Bungalow was clean and spacious. The area is isolated, hard to find any other places to eat (had to rely on hotel’s own restaurant). Overall good choice for hotel if you have to stay in Nusa Penida and you like quiet places without distractions.
Location of this hotel is a bit far from main attractions but has a perfect view, silent place and the rooms have very good privacy.
Best thing about hotel was the staff, Ahmad Habibi and Wayan were the best hosts that we ever met, not only in our Bali trip, in all trips we had so far. We had great honeymoon in this hotel, thanks again.
