"The staff were exceptionally helpful. The food was excellent. The Lodge itself where you stay needs some tlc on the outside, although the rooms themselves were good and well maintained, if a little dated. The stairs down to the room where I was weren't that great and the entrance to the steps was blocked by a car, so had to squeeze by. A great place. The golf looked good and the swimming pool was excellent although the stairs down were very slippery."

"Small room, very basic. Shower ok, but door was broken, kept coming off rails. Toilet door wouldn't shut, and lock broken. Breakfast was ok, but could take quite a while, to come out, some days. Only bread option was sourdough, with a tough hard crust, a bit nerve-racking for people with false teeth / plates. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice bar, with plenty of choices. Ample parking."

"A brilliant example of an old fashioned B&B,the like of which I thought no longer existed. A friendly host in Alan who was helpful and took time to share a bit of banter with the guests as well as being a fountain of knowledge on the local area. Well located,a short walk to the beach and other amenities but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise. I hope to go back to this charming premises sooner rather than later."
