“Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend St.Leonards Guest House. Lovely room, quirky and very well presented, exceptionally clean and a comfortable bed. Great having the fridge in the room with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Beautiful selection for breakfast. The host Keith was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond during our stay. We would stay here again without hesitation.”

“The hotel itself from the outside was lovely, the breakfast was great and staff were fantastic.
The hotel rooms are very very dated and could be done with some TLC. For the price I paid for one night, I felt there are better places to stay out there.
The fact in this day and age we were still given a key for our room door let you know how dated the hotel is.
Unfortunately we had picked a night to stay at the hotel when there was a wedding on and there was alot of noise in the corridor and people……

“Our room was clean and had tea/ coffee making facilities. Toiletries were also provided.
The view out our window was of the castle. Good location. Hotel requires some updating and there are a few stairs to the rooms. ”

“Arrived to a luke warm welcome.
The bedroom window was wide open, to air the room, which was damp.
The reception area stank of cigarettes smoke.
The carpets are so grubby, some steps the carpet is held together with gaffer tape.
When we said we wouldn’t be staying because it wasn’t suitable and damp and in general disrepair. We weren’t offered any incentive to stay or give an option for a better room. This hotel would have been amazing in the 1980’s but has indeed lost all its charm. ”
