First time to San Diego, and we picked a winner!

My family really enjoyed their stay at this rental property.The views were incredible The Poland's bond was very relaxing.I came in with the plus for the boys.The property was very well kept and clean. Any questions that I had was answered very promptly. I look forward to staying at this property again next summer

Fantastic oasis in the city!

We had a fantastic stay here with my family (and didn’t want to leave!!) The hosts were very responsive to our needs and helped make everything as comfortable as possible, which was super important, as we were traveling with my oldest son who is terminally ill. We liked being close to everything and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Birthday Surprise

I flew in 5 friends to surprise my husband for his 40th birthday. The house was perfectly set up for a great weekend away - it was clean, well stocked, and spacious for all of our guests. The hosts were extremely accommodating and quick to respond to requests. I would absolutely hook this place again in the future!

Family birthday trip

Perfect spot to stay for a San Diego trip, especially if you're going to the zoo. Great house, owners are extremely helpful and responsive and the pool is great. Would stay again.

Amazing Vacation

We had an amazing time at Blue Lagoon. The house was perfect for my family including a 5 month old baby. The views were incredible!! Watching the planes land on the front patio was very cool, and the backyard was a quiet tropical oasis. The bedrooms were spread out & allowed everyone their own space. The house had everything we needed- lots of labels and QR codes throughout the house to operate things. The staff and owners very immediately available and responded to our needs quickly. There were a few hiccups with the spa remote not working & garage door opener not working, but a solution for both was quickly resolved. The location was perfect, 10-20 min to everything we wanted to do-the zoo, SeaWorld, USS Midway, Old Towne, Little Italy, Seaport Village & Gaslamp, and La Jolla. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental & company. Our trip to San Diego was perfect!!

Fantastic property

GREAT property, with sizeable rooms, plenty of communal space, pool, and hot tub. A/C, location, parking, etc. FANTASTIC owners, great+prompt communication, simple instructions throughout the property for different things (eg: where to find extra towels, how to run the hot tub jets, etc.). Handy local guidebook. Would rent from them anytime, and would return to this property next time we go to SD.

Blue Lagoon

Convenient location. Beautiful pool area. Everything within 15 minutes, including Beach and museums. Great layout for family gathering. Our family of 7 (kids, spouses, grandchild) were able to reset and recharge in a true vacation. While the cooking areas inside and outside are amazing, the kitchen is not stocked for the level of cooking that it begs. Light switches are a bit tricky to figure out.

OMG this house!!!!

I couldn't get my sister off of the front deck! Haha! She loooooooved sitting out there watching the planes land and take off…..such a unique view! Surprisingly, the noise was very low. I did wonder about it before we checked in, but was very minimal!! I would 100% stay at this property again…..comfy, well thought out furniture, awesome pool and game room…..great beds and close to everything!! Adrian made it super easy and instructions for the house were clear and easy!!! This is my go-to rental company from now on!!!!

Camera pointed at Pool

While the home was very nice. The description does not mention any cameras. There is a camera at the driveway and also a camera in the backyard pointed directly at the pool. The camera is on the neighboring house (which I can only assume is the owner of the rental and why it’s not listed) We felt that was a total invasion of our privacy. Had we know this, we would have never rented the home. There is also construction going on for the neighboring house which takes up a lot of parking on an already small street. The trash cans were moved in front of the driveway blocking us from access. We were able to move them, but still an inconvenience. On the plus side: the home was clean and had plenty of towels, linen and blankets. The inside games were entertaining and a nice perk. There is a/c in the living room only. Fans were also provided for the bedrooms.

Wonderful stay but one warning

The place is amazing, it’s everything you could ask for and then some. But… there is an apartment attached to the house that they rent out separately and we were under the impression it was the whole house because it’s not listed on this listing, and no one mentioned it in reviews. We wouldn’t have rented if that was disclosed ahead of time. You don’t share anything with the apartment except the structure (it’s part of the house but with separate entrance) and you have to walk past it to get in and out. But we had an amazing time anyway and besides that it would have been 5/5. I think for VRBO at least, they should list the entire rental plus apartment and then it wouldn’t have been an issue. We would have paid for it just to have the full space (but wasn’t aware it existed until someone checked into it). Communication was fast and helpful and there are so many things they did to go above and beyond. Just a little blemish that I needed to mention since it’s left out of all other reviews. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Family Vacation

Check in went smoothly. We did have a little hiccup with the parking but the owner handled it promptly. This property was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi! The house had a spacious kitchen that was very nicely appointed. It was such a relaxing atmosphere inside and out. I wouldcomeback to this property.

Perfect Spot!!

We had a really wonderful time at this VRBO!! The location was wonderful, the beds were COMFY!! And the amenities were everything we could need and more. So much fun to sit on the patio to watch the planes roll in and then take a dip in the hot tub after. Manager was prompt and available in communication. I knock off one star for accuracy bc the listing shows a 2 car driveway and only 1 car is allowed in the driveway. Parking is a little bit of a hassle with the rules but we managed.

Great place for families with young kids

We stayed here with as 2 families with young toddlers and it was the perfect house for us! We made use of every part of the house, and loved that we were able to enjoy the hot tub in the evenings while the kids were asleep. The master bathroom also had heated floors which will now by my inspiration for my future home! Loved the location, its proximity to the airport - not having to worry about getting up super early to account for travel time was awesome. Also very close to the zoo, balboa park, and lots of great food places! The host was also very responsive! Would definitely stay again when we visit SD.

Lovely home close to everything

This very comfortable home was ten minutes from everything - the zoo, Balboa Park, SeaWorld, downtown and the waterfront. It was a great spot for our family of five, in particular the pool, which our kids used every single day as the perfect way to finish off our busy days. We would definitely stay here again - no one wanted to leave!

Best Ever

We just loved our stay here!! So clean, loved all the extra amenities!! They go way above for their guests! No negatives at all, had the BEST stay! 7 adults and 1 infant, plenty of room! Definitely will book again! Perfect SD location easy to get anywhere quickly!

Relaxation right in the city

Excellent location, close to the trolley and many locations. Pool is excellent, be sure to ask for heating. House is well-maintained, the check-in system is easy, and the management company is very responsive.

Finally a truly CLEAN property!!

This is a really cute, exceptionally clean, cleverly designed property. They did a fantastic job with the space they had. Especially the outside! We loved the art and the design felt clean and comfortable. The mattresses and couch were not very comfortable and the a/c wasn’t working the entire time during a heat wave but this place was truly the best property we have ever stayed at including all other vacation rental companies. We had a really great stay! The game room was such a fun perk and the pool area was just darling and perfect for an evening dip every night! We had our adult children and our toddler with us and everyone was happy!

Phenomenal Stay

This house is exactly as described and pictured! The backyard was like a private oasis, and the front porch has a great view of the water and sunset. The airport is literally right there, we even watched the planes take off and land, but the noise wasn’t AT ALL bad because the flight path is not right overhead. I actually forgot how close it was unless I was watching it. I am so extremely pleased with the accommodations and would definitely book this house again!

Nice group pad, a few hiccups

Overall very enjoyable stay. House was comfortable for 7 adults. Walk to Middletown station is fairly easy, albeit less than scenic (mostly car rental parking lots). Quick Uber into downtown or to the beach. However, there are some annoyances I'd change if this were my rental. First, if we pay for the hot tub, it should just stay hot. Having to flip a switch and wait is silly. Ice maker is broken despite the refrigerator being fairly new. Finally, three of the four bedrooms have frosted glass doors or windows that let light in from shared spaces. Add to that the fact that a light in the game room (above a mirror) doesn't shut off and there's a lot of light coming into the front rooms especially. Finally, airplane noise is not insignificant. Would suggest sound machines in all bedrooms.
