“The Edgewater is a very cute, clean hotel located directly on the beach. It has been recently redecorated, and the lobby area and rooms are nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in finding restaurants in both Old Orchard and Portland. There were two issues with my room that I discussed with the staff, and they were grateful for the feedback and were seemingly going to attend to those as soon as they could. “The oceanfront suites are comfortable, and we liked the balcony looking out at the water. If you plan to go there and provide some of your own meals, bring utensils and cups and plates. There is nothing in the cupboards, and though they will provide paper goods if asked, it's nice to have them more accessible. Location is great for a morning walk on the beach. Several good seafood places are open now in the off-season, so it's a good place to go for a beach get away before the summer crowds get……
