「When we arrived to check in the room was not ready. Turns out they were not even aware of our booking until we showed it to them. We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. 「We stayed for six nights, there was some fluff on the floor when we checked in, it was still there when we checked out! One evening, we had a decent lunch so only wanted a snack in the evening. We both had ham sandwiches which while nice ham, no attempt had been made to present them, for example, a salad garnish would have gone a long way. 「The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful」

「Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). 「The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent, staff were friendly, food was excellent, we were glad we didn’t have to go far to eat as being new to the town it was hard to find a place. I believe the restaurant is closing which will be a shame for future travellers..
