"On the day after my stay in May of 2026, I got an additional charge on my bank card for $75 from the hotel. I called the hotel, and a person on staff told me it was for "amenities," which had never happened before when I stayed at this hotel. I told the staff member that I had been unaware that I would be charged this fee and that it was not listed on the fees required by Expedia. I started to tell the staff member that Country Inn and Suites needed to communicate more effectively with Expedia and ensure that all charges are listed beforehand. The staff member started to rudely argue with me that this was not the responsibility of Country Inn and Suites. I asked to speak with this person's manager, and she informed that she was the manager of the Ithaca Country Inn and Suites. I asked for her name, and she hung up on me.
I have never had such a rude and unprofessional interaction with anyone in any hotel ever. I called the Radison hotel chain and filed a complaint about the manager, and I emailed the supervisor of the Ithaca Country Inn. I never heard back from the Radison company, even after calling a second time. I will never go back to the Ithaca Country Inn and Suites again, so long as that person is the manager and the company has refused to address my complaints."
