We felt right at home in this charming house. In fact, Tom's farmhouse is far more charming and tidy than our old 1840 pile. But I liked the older house feel. Main points: the beds were comfy, there was plenty of space to spread out, and the cabinets were full of spices, sandwich bags, foil, coffee and other helpful items. Despite a few warm days, the house remained cooler than outside. If you need a autumn fruit fix, there's a pear tree in the yard! And deer; we enjoyed sipping wine on the porch and watching the deer jump the fence to roam the yard.If you've never been serenaded by coyotes, this will change! Quite an eerie sound in the night. The only thing I found disappointing is the neighborhood, in that you are in a neighborhood. You will be looking at neighbors, but at least they are quiet. Tropic is quite a quirky place. All in all a great place to stay, with a short drive to Bryce Red Canyon, and Kodachrome State Park.
