“Overall experience is brilliant: good lake view, good service, clean, comfortable. But there's only one drawback: the shower drains very slow. I had to finish shower in 5 mins to avoid water flooding out. I still highly recommend this hotel. ”

“This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again……

Loved the outside bit ,even in winter it was nice to sit outside as the view was stunning. Plenty of tea/coffee and fresh biscuits every day . Huge clean towels ,very warm and cosy . Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice and delicious food . We had an evening meal on the first night which was also outstanding. The staff went out of their way to please you . The only……

“An overall great stay. Great location, nice spaceous room, nice bathroom. I would defo recommend and stay here again. 1 thing that what would help, would be a fridge in the room but apart from that a happy little 2 nights stay.”

“A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. ”
