"This was just a quick getaway for my husband's 50th birthday. We like staying at historic hotels. The Americus was beautiful! In our opinion, it was prettier that The Waldorf Astoria! Only thing I want to share with others is that it is located downtown so you will get that "downtown" noise overnight. But I still had a good night's sleep because the bed was so comfortable!"

"The housekeeping was not really available. We missed her when she came at 4:00 in the afternoon. We were on the third floor so it was a hike to the room, no elevator. But in saying that the owner was right there to bring our suitcases up if we so desired. The restaurant was convience and good. It is on a busy street and the house has the good and bad of a 18 century home. The staff made up for anything that you could have been displeased about.
