"The rooms and hallways were dingy. The room clean as worn out can be, chipped, stained and yellowed. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our breakfasts service was one of the best we’ve had in years.( server who had been working there a lifetime, who was fit to be in a 5 star restaurant, and I’m not easily impressed) front office employees were knowledgeable and friendly."

"The owner of the property is very organized and highly motivated to make this a delightful stay. Our room , The Vineyard, was well-appointed with a lovely large bathroom. The room itself is a bit cramped for two travelers and their luggage. When we got out of our car the air in Redding was acidic and smoky. I mentioned to Denise that we would have appreciated knowing in advance that breathing would be unpleasant and difficult as I suffer from severe headaches under these circumstances. ...

"The decor was unobtrusively part of the house, yet drew you in at the same time. A lot of thought went into making you feel welcome,and then immediately at home at the same time. Everything was spotless clean, an inviting aroma just as you walk in. Everything was explained in friendly detail. This was a 5 star experience. We will be back.
