"Large hotel in Douglas Co Cork. It was busy with social functions but due to being on the 5th floor I wasn't impacted by noise. Hotel room was clean but corridors and shared areas were dated and a bit shabby in places"

"Our room faced directly onto the train station and could hear every single thing constantly even with the window closed. Very difficult to sleep and woken up early on the morning around 5am with the sound of the trains every hour. However that’s not the hotels fault, just avoid room 324 as this was our room. "

"Everything was great, from early checkin, to the size of the room. Service was wonderful and the location a short Uber to bars and restaurants. We only stayed one night so did not get to experience the restaurant only the bar. Would recommend if in Cork. "

"Its a fabulous hotel overall but a special mention has to be given to the staff. The porters, receptionists, waiters and bar staff, the service and friendliness is second to none. Probably the best I have experienced in any hotel."

"The staff where excellent, all so very friendly and lovely to us. I travel alot, and for a big hotel, I was taken back by the friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff, you don't see that enough anymore. We arrived late and was greated by a funny and friendly porter. The reception staff, in the pool and breakfast staff, all went out their way to help us. Would highly recommend "

"Very nice hotel. Room was a bit dated, and pillows were pretty terrible, but a call to reception resolved pillow issue. Hotel is centrally located and there were many yummy dining options a short walk away."

"Nice and friendly upmarket venue with nice breakfast,but the ensuite bathroom smelled of mildew,which caused black ceilings in the shower.Bathroom door had to be wedged open to try and provide air to reduce the bad smell of mildew which also pervaded the corridor."

"What a wonderful clean comfortable hotel. We had a view of the harbour that was amazing to wake up to. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Everyone was really helpful…cannot say enough good things about it."
