"Lovely boutique feeling hotel with great rooms, superbly comfortable beds and bedding, friendly helpful staff and lovely breakfast. Only complaint it that rooms above the bar/restaurant patio suffer from very loud noise from below despite the double glazing. I was promised by the manager it would subside after 11pm but it went on until around 12.30am."

"Proximity to GWU makes it an automatic for visiting parents. Hotel is beautiful, old school, the rooms are large and the bathrooms have the best showers. The Four Five Coffee shop moved in two doors down which only makes staying at the hotel better. The hotel staff are all excellent, caring, and personally engaged to ensure a comfortable stay. Skip the onsite restaurant as there are plenty of much better options within easy walking distance (North Italia, Toryumon, Tatte, Circa). "

"This is the first time I've stayed at The Darcy Hotel. The hotel was situated in the heart of DuPont Circle where there are lots of dining options and a 5-minute walk to the Metro subway. It is a boutique hotel, not affiliated with any chain hotels which is awesome. We arrived a lot earlier than the usual check-in time and were able to get a room."

"Be careful when staying if you do t book through the hotels site they hit you with a ton of fees and charges. If you get the breakfast option and pay for it read the very tiny fine print and ask to confirm the information before ordering. Staff don’t know the rules you have to speak with a manager of else you’ll be charge upwards of $100 on extra fees. Don’t expect customer service prior to check in or even after check in if you book through Expedia, you will hear the excuse “you booked through...

"I’m not really an advocate of pets at a hotel, which made me nervous about this one, but I did not see any thankfully. The rooftop lounge/restaurant was very loud and had lots of activity which was kind of annoying as I had to wait for elevators numerous times just to get to my room. But the room was well appointed and the record player was a nice touch."

"Comfortable boutique hotel with easy parking ($45 per day) but has unlimited in and out privileges, easy access from garage to room totally indoors so no worries about moving bags in bad weather. Beds comfortable, bathrooms modern, reasonably priced accommodation."
