Rapid City Art Alley Hotels

"Room was dirty. Switched rooms. Second room was DIRTIER. Stains on sheets. Ac broken. Floor boards falling apart. Hole in the wall. Went down to request checkout because I paid $120 a nigh to stay there. I expect a clean room. 1 dirt room, whatever. 2 dirty rooms, that’s insane. And the GM told me she never goes up to the rooms to check them and then proceeded to say she’s going to send a housekeeper up there to check it out. I’m sorry, but that’s horrible management."

"The hotel is very nice, and has a lot of interesting history. I had a great stay up until check out. The night lady at the desk had a serious attitude problem. The day shift folk were very helpful and friendly."

"Cleaning was not the best in our room and the bed was poorly made. Very nice lady at the desk cleaned more thoroughly while we were gone because the cleaning staff was gone for the night. I remade the bed myself."

"Clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. There was a whirlpool bath in the room, very nice. The only dig was the room was adjacent to the elevator. Noise from the elevator was very noticeable (and not in a good way). Would not stay in that room again. "

"This is a has been property from the 1980’s. Staff is fine. Total hotel is in need of upgrade. The room was clean. Bed and linens were great. Property needs a redo. Price reflected the place. Fine for an overnight on I-80 journey east or west. "
