“The apartments are great for a family . Having a full kitchen and separate bedrooms are a huge bonus . The hide a bed suck- 2 years in a row . The showers hot , good pressure, good supply of towels that are big enough for the average joe. Continental breakfast is a win to start the day with hot food. Then you don’t have to stop your day to find food before it starts . Don’t let the lack of lawn care scare you away !”

“This place was so unique and beautiful! My son loved the playground he wouldn’t leave it. It’s comfy and cozy! Has a wholesome family feel to it:), just absolutely love it! ❤️ we would absolutely stay here again! And I recommend to anyone with children who want and outdoor experience with a cabin, and a nice little quiet area! It’s organized, friendly, and clean! I think it’s a perfect stay for anyone. ”

“Clean. Outside could use a new paint job but inside was clean, however the ac was making a funny noise but stayed cold. When I pulled the shower handle the spout came in and out of the wall. It wasn't secured. Needs a little love and we did have a centipede in the room one night but fortunately we saw it before we stepped on it! ”

“ K Bar S Lodge is fantastic! View of Black Hills is superb, rooms are furnished with excellent mattresses; reasonably priced meals in their cafe; very tasty complimentary breakfast buffet served in Gazebo with great menu options; gracious and friendly welcoming staff; 15 minutes from Mt Rushmore; Very Friendly guests week before Sturgis Rally! 'Little surprised' that guests are charged 18.5% on top of menu prices to pay salaries of wait staff. Then another tips is optional but……

“My wife, son and parents stayed for 1 night after attending Mount Rushmore. Our rooms were very nice and clean. The following morning we left for Rapid City. We realized we had left behind a toy that our son bought in Medora. Upon calling the hotel they discovered the toy and set it aside so my parents could pick it up the next day. We were so very grateful.”

“Room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was nice. The only issue was that the front desk was closed after 10pm so we were unable to get a blanket or anything else we may have needed after then.”
