"Clean room, good staff. Shame about renovation and restaurant closure "

"Friendly staff, and it was a nice surprise to be upgraded to a suite. The hotel is very convenient for the ski bus, and the grotto hot tub was the highlight after a day on the slopes. It’s about a 10-minute walk to downtown Banff, and there’s also a bus stop right outside the hotel if you’d rather not walk."

"We had a lovely staff trip to the Mount Royal! Rooms were clean & comfortable/ updated and the location was fantastic. So many restaurants, shops and local entertainment outside our door. The only thing that was dissapointing was that only 4 people were aloud in the hot tub at a time, when there's clearly enough room for more. We did have a larger group so we all went in shifts but the common area attached made for a great communal space to lounge and enjoy warmth while we waited. Our group of 15 also enjoyed a team dinner at Brazen and WOW what an experience! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. "

"The kitchen had most things. We asked the front desk for bucket coffee filters and it would have been nice to have a not-stick frying pan or skillet. Otherwise, it met all our needs. Great spot after a day of skiing and hiking."

"Room was clean and staff were very friendly. You had to go to the hotel on the other side of the parking lot to use the pool and restaurant facilities which was slightly inconvenient. Great location though you could walk to anywhere in downtown."
