Restaurant shut. Paint peeling in rooms. Room was fairly cold and you could hear noise from close by rooms. Some TV channels, including BBC1 and 2, pixilated so impossible to watch. No chair to sit on in the room. Staff ok but unable to offer alternative room as I was told it was full. Location fine, right in Stourbridge town centre and there were plenty of places to eat within five minutes walk of the hotel.

The Talbot Hotel is in the heart of Stourbridge. It is easy to find with some parking at the back of the Hotel. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy with tea and coffee available in the room. great shower, comfortable double bed, very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to stay again, and would recommend to family and friends.

Parking was easy and secure, staff friendly. Rooms basic and a little dated. but overall value for money. This is well run hotel, with good potential. Sadly the local area is clearly struggling, for once what was a busy bustling hight street is now a ghost town.

In my opinion the hotel is improving all the time. I have stayed there on numerous occasions and slowly seems to be getting there. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Stayed in the main building this time. Room, although a little snug, was clean and warm and very good value for money.

The staff were friendly. The room was very basic, which I don't mind as we got a cheap offer. The window was broken (had a butter knife to keep it open) and opened only to a maximum of 20 cm, and it was around the corner, so we were boiling inside (no air con). Would've been nice to have mattress protectors on the beds, as the sheets kept coming off, and there was a bare mattress underneath.

Bog standard hotel, did the job. Staff were nice. The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't great. My bathroom at home is a lot cleaner. The bathroom in my room was grubby. The grouting between tiles was filthy. It's decent enough if you have low expectations.
