We needed a place in the area for our family of 4 ans were really happy with this apartment. It was easy to find, easy to access and was really close to some great bars and restaurants! The apartment itself was also very clean, spacious and exactly as advertised. I would highly recommend. The only issue is that it does not have parking and it is located right above a street full of bars, which means it can be loud late into the night. Having said that, they helped us find parking just a couple blocks away and having restaurants nearby was a positive for us. Thankfully we are all heavy sleepers, so this place was really great!

Definitely VIBRANT but a very nice place

We really enjoyed our stay here. Owner was very responsive. But - the apt is literally on the 2nd floor, directly above a pub, and more pubs on the whole row. Partiers get started around 10pm, and the noise quieted down about 2am. Sat-Monday for us. There is no A/C in most of England, so we had the windows opened. With the windows open, it sounds like you are laying inside of the bar, amidst the white noise of everyone talking. When there is a band, it is extra loud, and kind of disturbs the white noise of just everyone talking. When the windows are shut, it just sounds like you are in the corner of the pub, trying to sleep. If we weren't so tired, I am not sure we would have slept at all. One of our group had to take sleep aids, to get through it. However, the place is clean, and a really nice place to lounge. Afternoon nap was attempted one day - and there was bowling of kegs going on outside! The bar was restocking for that evening, and getting rid of empty kegs, out of the cellar door. and the truck was throwing new kegs out, to roll down the cellar for restocking. It went on for about 40 minutes. It was hilarious, actually. The bathroom sinks didn't drain well. The wifi is very low-speed. We think it was sharing with the whole block. It was nice having a washer in the place. We spent too much time trying to get the dryer function to work, but decided it doesn't work. Fortunately, there was a hang drying rack.
