The host has all you could possibly want or need to make this a great beach vacation for all ages AND is so helpful, communicative, and kind. We had the best family trip in years! A definite favorite on my list.

Wonderful location

First experience with VRBO and we had a great stay. Clean and comfortable with everything you need for a family getaway. The beach toys, chairs, and wagons were an added bonus. The host was quick to answer any questions and very responsive to requests. Definitely recommendand would stay again...

Great for 2 families

We had two families staying at the house and it was perfect. House is fully loaded with toys for kids and beach supplies. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Beautiful, clean home

Our Family stayed at this property for 5 nights. The house is beautiful and very clean. My 18 month old granddaughter loves the play room and my adult kids loved the jacuzzi! Very nice neighborhood and just across the street from the beach.

Wonderful. Excellent. Home away from home.

Beautiful clean property. We were greeted with some snacks on the kitchen counter. The garage was equipped with games that entertained my grandkids for hours. There was lots of beach essentials like chairs and toys that were perfect for a day at the beach. Not to mention the. Hot tub was so nice and relaxing. Highly recommend this property.

Excellent Stay

My family of nine (married and unmarried) just finished our stay at Casa Surfside this last week and couldn't recommend it enough. The house was well stocked for everything needed for the beach which is just a 5 minute walk away. Having such close proximity to an uncrowded and beautiful beach with waves was certainly a highlight. Everything in the house is as portrayed in images. Plenty of sitting and dining spaces. Bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds. The hot tub was nice after a long day at the beach. Would not hesitate to book again.

Fully stocked beach house right next to Legoland

This is such a fantastic property for any family or large group looking for close access to the SoCal beach and to Legoland. This fully stocked property allowed us to go to the beach without having to head to the store for anything. Coolers, beach chairs, beach toys, even boogie boards were ready to use and easy to access. The garage was where my kids wanted to stay the whole time. Foosball table, basketball game, axe throwing, board games, and toys for any age. Easy access to all the major roads to get you back to San Diego or even further up the coast. We got to the parking lot at Legoland under 10 minutes. All the beds were comfy and the bathrooms are well maintained. Looking forward to get back as soon as we can!

Great on all levels!

We have a special needs son who adores LEGOLAND and we booked this because the pictures looked great and we liked the location so we hoped it was as good as it seemed - and it was! The house is a great size to spread out, and I am always concerned about comfortable beds and all of the beds here are great, which is a huge plus. Everything was well stocked - there was nothing we needed or wished we had including plenty of towels and kitchen stuff. We did not go to the beach or use the toys in the garage but let me tell you that if you have plans to do either, you 100% have everything you need for a trip to the beach or to keep kids entertained. We did enjoy the hot tub one evening after a long day of rollercoasters which was fabulous (but read the instructions and allow enough time to warm it up). We will absolutely return and look forward to our next trip, especially knowing we have everything we need at Casa Surfside. Thanks Nick for sharing your wonderful home!

Excellent location

The home is in an excellent location for a beach vacation. It had all the amenities you need to go the beach, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards , wagons etc. The garage is converted to a play area for kids with lots of games etc. The house has ceiling fans in the bedrooms which was very important to us because of my wife’s need for the room to be cool to sleep. Our fan didn’t work and after telling the owners about it they said that the remote needed a part that they couldn’t get until our stay was over. My question was why couldn’t they have a new remote installed but I never got a reply. After we checked out they said we had left a stain on a comforter cover and wanted us to pay for it. I felt that was unfair since our fan didn’t work and we basically went sleepless for the whole week. In the end the owners agreed to not make us pay since we had been inconvenienced with the fan issue. Our family had a great time there and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a beach stay that’s not in the middle of a commercial setting

Perfect family stay

This property is beautiful and perfectly located. We had a multi-generational family stay and our three young grandchildren loved the playroom and "swimming pool" hot tub! The location is perfect for an easy beach day. The home is well stocked for a full beach day. Nick is a great, responsive host. We easily travelled to Legoland and SeaWorld. In addition, there are great pickleball courts nearby. We were thankful that we found a lovely home that filled all our needs for a great family get together.

Traveling with young kids can feel more like “parenting in a new location” than a true vacation. Our trip to casa surfside was our first family trip with a 21 month old and 4 year old in which we actually felt relaxed and had a wonderful time. The house is even nicer than the pictures and has everything you could possibly need for a family vacation. The owner, Nick, is professional, communicative, and went over the top to make our experience amazing—he even same-day delivered a coffee grinder to the house for us. The location is perfect, with a 5-10 minute walk to the nicest beach in the area and so many local family-friendly locations to eat and play. We will be back!

Great set up, beautiful home and responsive host!

Plenty of room great set up and tranquil outdoor patio area! The house had everything we needed but was low on wine glasses so I text the host and we had some delivered by 3 PM that day! Great Space for kids of all ages and diverse family needs! Super convenient location as well! We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful vacation home for a family!

This home is exactly what we needed for our family vacation. This home is perfect for families, very kid friendly. The communication was excellent, Nick was an amazing host. The home is beautiful and located within walking distance to the beach. The play room was great, and there were plenty of amenities for the kids, the beach, and the entire week. The hot tub was a bonus! I would absolutely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in or around Carlsbad.

Excellent Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Surfside. The place was beautiful and met all of our needs. It was a short walk to the beach which was our main incentive. We were able to go every day whenever we wanted which was nice. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The kids playroom was very useful as we stayed with 5 young kids. The host was very communicative and ensured our needs were met. I would recommend staying here and would book again in the future, especially with a family.

In Carlsbad for a family wedding. Casa Surfside was walking distance from the venue. The house hit just right! Bright, airy rooms were perfect for visiting. Well stocked and organized kitchen was great for fixing meals at home. Convenient distance from the Flower Fields, Carlsbad Village and other points of interest. Easy walking distance to the beach. Excellent value traveling with family. Hope to come back again for just a vacation!*guests with mobility issues may struggle with the stairs to the bedrooms. My 70 mom and aunt both commented how steep they were.

Property was as shown. Very clean. Quiet and had everything you would need, especially for small children-the garage has it all! 4 bedrooms made all the difference. Walk across the street to see the most amazing sunsets. Great walking paths along the coast. Would recommend

So perfect!

We loved our stay! It was great to be able to have such a spacious house with a quick walk to see the sunset and to walk to the coastal train that took us to Old Town! That and so many other fun things!!
