The air conditioner/heating unit was very loud but I understood that it may have been working hard to keep the room warm. Otherwise the room was very clean, the staff were friendly, and the price was right for a quick overnight stay.”

“The house itself inside is very nice a beautifully restored and spacious. There is a real problem with the electrical system, breakers flip off several times a day. You can’t use the coffee pot (regular size) and microwave at the same time without breaker going off. Sometimes the tv and heat will trigger the breaker to flip. There are no small trash containers in bathrooms or bedrooms and no toilet brush in either bathroom or any cleaner. Also kitchen needs a full size coffee pot, just a……

“I love the smell of new everything. New paint, new home. And caught a catfish on the pier. Absolutely fabulous host. It was relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. ”

“The host hung out in the shed on the property and monitored the coming and going of guests during the stay. My friends felt like they were being watched; she even texting me when food was delivered. We also had a misunderstanding about the fact that I was renting it on behalf of family friends who are missionaries and were coming to my wedding from out of town. The host freaked out that I wasn’t staying there and made me come to the house so she could check my ID 30min before my rehearsal……

“The house was exactly as pictured. The area was very quiet- we didn’t see or hear anyone else the whole weekend! Would highly recommend for a quiet fall weekend. Van Dee was super responsive and helpful. Our only suggestion would be more kayak paddles. We could only locate one. ”
