"The Bird House on the river is truly something special. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice—this place is even more beautiful in person. From the moment I arrived, it felt like a hidden treasure. The host went out of his way to personally introduce himself, and we ended up having a great conversation that made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal.The home itself is incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with that rare, authentic “Old Florida” charm that’s almost impossible to find anymore. Waking up to the sound of birds, watching the sunrise over the river, and ending the day with a sunset in the same spot was something I won’t forget. There are plenty of great places to eat nearby, and the springs are just a short drive away, which made it the perfect location to explore and unwind. If you’re looking for a quiet escape that feels both nostalgic and refreshing, this is it. I will absolutely be back—this home is a rare gem. "
