“We stayed just the one night. The staff were very friendly and eager to provide good service. We enjoyed a pleasant drink on the lovely patio overlooking the river followed by a tasty meal in the bar. Breakfast was excellent . Our room was fairly basic with quite a small ensuite . The WiFi was good. We were pleased with our stay which represented good value.”

“The hotel is very nice, with lovely rooms and beautiful surroundings. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, although they often had to juggle multiple roles at once, which sometimes made them difficult to find. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, and if I return to Castle Douglas, I would happily stay here again.”

“The room was lovely but the sink in the en-suite was tiny & hard to get a wash or clean your teeth in without getting water everywhere. The front of the sink unit was already water damaged. The shower was good & easy to use.
The lady who greeted us was very helpful & friendly especially as we forgot to take our key out with us & had to ask her to let us in to our room. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for her. There was a good choice for breakfast which was cooked to order”

“We had a wonderful stay at this lovely family-run B&B. The property is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and full of charm and character. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay.
The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and freshly prepared food, both hot and cold; fruit, yoghurts, what ever you require! The facilities are modern, warm, well maintained, and equipped with all the little extras that make……
