“WISH WE HADN’T!!! . No lights at all working on communal stairs so pitch black up to top floor apartment apartment. Stuff from other flats left on stairs so added to trip hazard. Kitchen poorly equipped , we had to go and buy something to cook in , no bread board , peeler etc. oven was disgusting, oily and old burnt food left in it . communication on location and flat number very poor so we ended up knocking on other people’s doors until we got a call from Vrbo finally . Smoke alarm in front……

“Excellent location, being on the first floor it has lovely views all round.”

“Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay.”

“The apartment was excellent, just a couple of things The wife said a mirror in the bedroom would be good , the door in bedrooms could maybe have hooks on them , the hinges on the doors would benefit from a bit of WD40 sprayed on them (squeaks) and the sign out side front bedroom needs a bit of grease on it .Small things didn't spoil our stay and the food in the pub great nothing was to much trouble”

“Good location, close to both central Buxton and the Market place. Easy to book with timely and helpful information from host.”

“What's positive going for it is that it's centrally located with all of the attractions within minutes walk and views of the town from small tiny attic windows. I quickly learnt that the location was not above Leubens restaurant with quain bay windows as advertised but in a row of apartments further up the road. When entering the property I was daunted by carrying a suitcase up several flights of stairs. The hallway was dark and musty. The damp mustiness pervaded the apartment and found it……
