“WISH WE HADN’T!!! . No lights at all working on communal stairs so pitch black up to top floor apartment apartment. Stuff from other flats left on stairs so added to trip hazard. Kitchen poorly equipped , we had to go and buy something to cook in , no bread board , peeler etc. oven was disgusting, oily and old burnt food left in it . communication on location and flat number very poor so we ended up knocking on other people’s doors until we got a call from Vrbo finally . Smoke alarm in front……

“Before we arrived, Bethan & James messaged us with details of the flat and a local guide to the area which was really appreciated! Once we had arrived they also checked in on us to make sure everything was okay which made us feel really welcome. Communication was smooth and quick. The flat itself was beautifully decorated and felt really homely. There was basic amenities like tea, coffee, cling film, toiletries, ice which came in very handy! The location was walking distance to town, caverns and……

“Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay.”

“As a returning guest, it was a pleasure to come back again to the Sunshine Apartment. The owners and the team that run the accommodation are so kind and wish for you to have a perfect stay. The apartment is in a lovely area. I particularly enjoy the two big smart TVs in the lounge and bedroom when staying. The powerful hot shower. The peacefulness of the isolated apartment gives you maximum chance to relax. I look forward to returning once again in the future. ”

“Great little apartment in a perfect central location. It was modern, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable few days in Matlock. Would happily stay again. Not necessarily improvements, just points for future guests to note – as it’s so centrally located, you can hear some road traffic and noise from a nearby karaoke bar, especially in the evenings. The apartment can also get quite warm, but fans are provided which do help.”
