「This is an old hotel, but has a cozy, old time feel. It really grew on us in a short time. The staff is spectacular, not one person I wouldn't want in my own business, from the front desk, bartender, wait staff, valets, and housekeeping. The location is great and very near the ball park. We could see inside the park from our rooms. The bar was open, but unfortunately, the restaurant was not, and the elevator is very slow. That could use an upgrade.」

「Great lodging option for those staying in Detroit. Friendly staff and great rooms in wonderful old former upscale homes from the 1880’s. The hotel is close to many attractions. I will say that trying to check in online did not work very well and the phone number listed did not seem to go anywhere. I looked them up on the internet, got the correct phone number and called to check in which went smoothly. The issue may have been because I went through Expedia to book the room. We will...

「Cute concept, cleanliness was definitely an issue. Beds were clean and comfy though. Laying in the bed the ceiling fan and pipes for sprinklers were covered in dust in both bedrooms. Floors were filthy as my socks and wife’s feet were black from the tile. Great layout and cool design just fell short on housekeeping. Other concerning thing was the people that gather outside the entrance to the property can make you feel unsafe to enter.」

「No swimming pool, no free WiFi at room, no room service, drinking water system pathetic, you will have to collect two water bottle from reception everytime , if you are thirsty at night, what will happen. They took my money as security deposit at the time of check-in, but have not yet returned even after six days. I am surprised why they were not able to return at the time of check-out. Pathetic situation.」

「Great budget stay for short term travellers! The room was very clean and linens were all soft and lovely. Best mattress I've slept on in a while as well! Do note, however, closet and drawer space is on the smaller side so if you are an over packer be prepared to live partially out of your suitcase.
