「Very happy with cleanliness of room and hotel. Restaurant open till late so got a meal at 9pm after other places had closed. Food very good and all the young staff very polite friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The hotel needs to stress that the breakfast deal for residents is only applicable between 7am and 9am. 」

「The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. 」

「Booked the Cedar Court in Huddersfield as it was half the price of one of the well known national competitors (starts with a P and ends with Inn), and thought I would take a chance. I needn't have worried it was just as good (if not better than the national chain and its a local hotel group as well !), couldn't have asked for anything more, lovely room, great staff, exceptionally clean and well presented. 「Convenient good value hotel. Spacious clean room in good condition with large comfy bed. Although very close to M62 the double and secondary glazing did a great job to keep the traffic noise out. The included breakfast was grab and go style but the bacon sandwich was hot and well-filled, good choice of other items. We used for a music event in Halifax, and will very probably use next time!」

「The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction.」
