“Really enjoyed our stay at Tontine. Very well located for getting around Greenock and travelling to Glasgow and other surrounding towns. “Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was well equiped with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. At midnight we couldn’t get to sleep in room 5 as a dog was constantly barking in the kennels at the Police office outside our room. Colin at reception immediately moved my wife and I to the opposite side of the hotel and all was well. Hotel was clean, warm and tidy and we enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning which there was plenty to choose from. I would certainly recommend it as it is……

I was greeted warmly by Ricky and checked in to Room 2, which was massive - and simply perfect for my (5 stone) greyhound, as he had space to move. The Royal Marine is one of 2 dog friendly hotels in the area, and as you can see, His Lordship was made ever so welcome and he slept like a log, as did I! I was a bit unimpressed with Loch Lomond, i was expecting some nice lakeside walks and calm tranquil waters. Instead i got a tourist packed beach of sunbathers. Tip - avoid the school holidays if you can when planning a trip! #Waterlust #WeekendGetaway
