“Did not utilize parking. Staff in reception area and morning breakfast were very friendly. Bar staff were hit or miss in terms of friendliness. Wifi was great. Cruise ship visitors were annoying. ”

“The staff here are so kind and accommodating. My daughter and I stayed 6 nights. We liked how it was away from the noise of West Bay, but still on the beach and a few minute walk to small stores and restaurants. Breakfast was good and fresh. Great cocktails at the bar and yummy food at the restaurant. The pool is very shallow - suitable for young children. This is a laid back place with everything you need- not a fancy 5 star resort. But it is clean, comfortable, safe and on the sea. Great home……

Also ONCE your forced to go to the area its so intimidating and terrifying, wouldnt suggest it unless you want to be walking on egg shells with all the gang members out front of the resorts holding what seems like a knife trying to extort you. “We were very happy with our choice of La Placita. We read lots of reviews to help make our choice...selling point for us were the pool we got to use at La Serenis which was literally steps away from La Placita lobby and that we got to use lounge chairs at La Sirenas included with staying at La Placita. Staff were very helpful. The included daily breakfast was excellent, and we loved the location so close to many reataurants and the beach. If you are worried about not being directly on the……

“Overall, the resort is beautiful. I’m not sure if it’s just the culture or if the staff needs additional training in responding to guest requests in a timely fashion. Service at breakfast was exceptionally slow. The wait staff didn’t always understand English. The menu listed that eggs could be made to order however, it didn’t matter how we ordered them they always came scrambled. The espresso machine was broken our entire stay. The cleanliness our unit was just OK. Housekeeping only came once……

“This is my second time to this hotel. The first time was 7 years ago and it was very good. But this time it was very bad, no internet, no cell phone signal. Also, you could cook in the apartment before, but now there is nothing, the kitchen is just for decoration.”
