Kansas City Just Off Broadway Theatre Hotels

"The check-in was terrible. I received two cards. Neither would open the door. Returning to the registration desk, I was told it would take five minutes to get some help. Then I was told to go to the room. A technician was able to open the door. He said he would recharge the battery. Later, I went to have dinner at Tavernonna [which was terrific]. I returned to my room. Again, neither card would open the door. So I returned again to the registration desk. They told me to return to my room. A different technician was able to get one key to work. He said he would recharge the battery. What a frustrating experience. "

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crossroads Hotel. The room was well appointed, everything was clean, the staff was very nice and it’s in a great location. The building itself is really cool with a lot of character, and the lobby and rooftop bars were both great hangout spots with delicious food and tasty signature cocktails. We would definitely stay there again."

"Overall, our stay went well. The house was clean and decorated nicely. The house is centrally located in KC, MO. I do have some information for future renters to consider. This rental is actually 2 units - an upstairs and downstairs unit with two separate kitchens and sitting rooms. You have leave the unit, walk outside, and lock/unlock two doors to get between the two units. The fireplaces are electric. We had no issues with our personal safety, but the neighborhood feels a bit run-down (although appears to be under a lot of construction). We didn't see any homeless on the street where we stayed, but there is definitely a homeless population a few streets over. There are quite a few sirens heard throughout the night. The grounds surrounding the rental could use some sprucing up to make the property feel a bit more welcoming - i.e. flowers, new grass, maybe some wood chips around bushes and trees. There is a marijuana dispensary on the corner which gets a lot of traffic on weekend evenings. Although this property was adequate, I probably would not choose this property again because of the neighborhood. "
