OUTRIGGER Kona Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"The grounds surrounding the Outrigger are stunning. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The resort is located in close proximity to many attractions to include walking distance. "
"I liked the open feeling of the suite and having a complete kitchen. The balcony was large with beautiful landscaping to look out at. The staff that we met were all friendly and helpful "
"We enjoyed an idyllic adventure at the Beautiful Edge of the World bed and breakfast. Kurt and Caena were the ideal hosts. They provided us with a welcoming atmosphere into their home. The breakfasts provided were healthy and delicious. The setting on a coffee plantation enabled us to enjoy nature while relishing their warm hospitality.
The only challenge is that to reach the inn requires driving on unpacked roads. It was raining when we first arrived and our GPS stopped working. We called and Caena drove out to meet us and lead us to her home. The next day she led us out to the highway to ensure that we were familiar with the route. After overcoming this minor problem, we had a marvelous time at the Beautiful Edge of the World, which truly lived up to its name."
Spacious Kealakekua Bay Home with 4-bedroom bay home: Enjoy Quiet rejuvenation
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I went with our three children, son in law and our three grandkids. The house was perfect for the 9 of us. We spent a lot of time in the morning and evening on the lanai. It was so peaceful and there is Manini Beach Park where you can get in the ocean that’s about a 5 minute walk. Some mornings we would walk down Manini Beach road just a little ways and sit on the rocks and drink our coffee and watch the ocean. Dharma and Catherine were amazing caretakers. We didn’t get the opportunity to meet Anna because she was out of town but before we left to go to Hawaii she made sure we had all the information we would need to find the house and get in. It made it really easy to find with her directions. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and Dharma and Catherine brought us some beautiful flowers and a card. Our daughter celebrated her birthday and they dropped off a card for her too. If we had any questions they were always super friendly and helpful. There was a tsunami warning and we couldn’t go back to the house for almost 9 hours but Dharma and Catherine made sure we new about the tsunami warning and continued to check on how we were doing and to keep us updated. We so appreciated them they make you feel like family. This is a wonderful place and we would highly recommend staying here."
"Barbra and the rest of the staff are very friendly. They gave great suggestions of things to do and places to eat while on the island. The room was clean and beautiful. If you like being surrounded by nature, this is a great spot."
"I've travelled a lot over the last 4 decades and Kona Palace has the best view of any property I've stayed in. It is cozy and secluded and it was amazing just to sit on the patio and watch the sun come up from the side of a mountain! The surrounding foliage is beautiful and the accomodations are comfortable. The cherry on top was finding we had a hot tub!"
