「A lovely hotel in spectacular surrounds. Sophie at front of house welcomed us warmly and gave us all the info we needed, she's a treasure. The room was gorgeous, spacious, clean with a lovely view to boot! Very appreciative of the luxury of it all after walking Derwentwater! We enjoyed thoroughly our dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast was a real treat! Highly recommend - a wonderful place to unwind and relax!」

「We stayed only 1 overnight on the way down from scotland. We could see lot of people staying for visiting the lakes. The hotel is in a very nice location. They are also pet friendly and they provided us a towel and a bowl for the dog. We highly recommend both breakfast and set menù dinner which was very nice. Room was clean and bathroom looked recently renewed.」

「We stayed at the Horse and Farrier the night before our hike up Scafell Pike, it's only a 25 minute drive to Seathwaite Parking, if you're going up the corridor route. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. the food was lovely and the room we stayed in was clean, well presented and comfy. Definitely recommend eating nd staying here!」
