Holiday Cabin

Our family had a wonderful holiday filled with snowy fun at this great west shore cabin. The A-frame is beautifully designed and fit our 7-person party perfectly. The kids had a blast in the backyard with snowballs, a mini-sled run, and the hot tub. We're big fans of the location, too, with quick trips over to Alpine, Palisades, Homewood, and Granlibakken. Thanks so much for the memories!

The “A-Frame” house was modern and beautiful inside in a very quiet wooded neighborhood! The home was on the mountain side and about a 10 minutes walk down a steep hill to Kaspian Beach. If you walked, going back up the hill at the end of the day was tough! There were no: coffee, laundry detergent, enough soap and shampoo for about 3 days and only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom! So, if you’re going to stay for more than 3 days, you’ll need to bring: toilet paper, paper towels, body soap and shampoo, salt, pepper, & seasoning. We shopped at Costco next to Reno airport & bought things in bulk. So whoever stays after us: we left laundry detergent, paper towels, all the seasoning, oil, salt, pepper, rolls of paper towels, and even bug spray and suntan sprays. So just be prepared! Dan, from Tahoe Getaways was extremely helpful in communicating the above information to me ahead if time so we brought what we needed. Also, If you need more: shop at Safeway in Tahoe City which is 3.4 miles from this property! And lastly, no A/C but with the windows open, it was cold at night! We’ll certainly come back here. It was a great place to relax and recharge! 🙂

Perfect place

When our RV unexpectedly broke, we scrambled to look for a place to stay and found this charming home. I was surprised by the unique modern design and new amenities inside. There were four adults and three kids that fit comfortably. All of the appliances worked except for the fan in the kitchen. We all loved the construction of this home and the backyard surrounded with trees. I just hoped there are more blankets and better wifi. There's no AC in the unit but we didn't need it. We will for sure come back here next time we travel with another family.

Very Nice

The house is adorable. The kids loved the play area loft and the big back yard full of snow. The hot tub is great. This was my 2nd time here. I'd recommend putting bar soap in the bathrooms at least. My expectation when renting is that there should be basic toiletries included. The only soap here was in the kitchen for hands. An ice cube tray would be appreciated. The power went out and there were no candles. We had to leave a day early to avoid the snow storm which was a bummer but beyond anyone's control.

Great property to stay

Nice house, amenity and location in general. Everyone enjoyed the place. Few minor things for improvement: 1. Under-counter wine cooler is very noisy when in operation, and there is no way to turn it off, rather than just turning the temp control to the highest temp you can go, but it will still run from time to time even at night... 2. Upstair bathroom, all windows are without frosted glass or window blind.

Beautiful home and location!

We definitely enjoyed our trip to Lake Tahoe! This place had everything we needed to feel like we were in a cabin in the woods but walkable to so many places. We hope to be back ASAP!

Great modern cabin

Great stay over the holidays. Tremendous weather meant certain, unavoidable hiccups, but the property was easy to reach and response. The house itself is modern, well equipped, and delightful.

Great property and location!

Absolutely loved the house! It is exactly as pictured if not better. Great location too! Worked perfectly for two couples. My only calls are that with the smoke becoming quite an issue in Tahoe that purifiers would be great to have there as the smoke was quite strong. Likewise, we had to go out and buy dish soap, hand soap and paper towels which should be well stocked. Otherwise, absolutely loved this property!

Cozy and modern. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

The space was wonderful. 6 of us fit just fine, with plenty of room to enjoy meals together, relax in the hot tub, and enjoy the nature around Tahoe. Would recommend to anyone needed a respite from the city, or just looking for a modern, well decorated spot to relax.

Wonderful little A Frame

If you're trying to decide to book this home, just do it, you won't regret it. Everything is just perfect in this renovated A-Frame Cabin. We loved the layout and felt like we were at home. Great cabin, in a great location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. We loved making meals in the kitchen and enjoying the outdoor space. I would just say that it would be nice to have a few things added like sugar and salt and oil for the kitchen. I loved how they provided so many beach and regular towels. Also if you have small children the bunk beds can be a little bit of a hazard since they don't have any side railings to prevent kids from falling out. However, my older kids loved this home! We wished we could have stayed longer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here last weekend and it was amazing. My husband and I loved every detail of the home. It was a big house, fit two couples and 3 babies perfectly. Seriously the most thought out, well designed home I have ever seen in person. They either hired an interior designer or someone has some real talent. All the furniture was comfy, the beds were comfy, the bathrooms were nice and big and functional. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but it looked nice lol. I seriously was in awe of the house the entire weekend. It was less than a 5min drive to Tahoe city and about 15-20 minutes to squaw. Would 100% stay there again.

Luxury cabin!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was perfect for my family of 3, including our 4 year old son. The downstairs was open, perfect space, loved the front door area which the extra storage and hooks for bags and coats, the has foreplace warmed the downstairs nicely! The remodel was gorgeous, loved every addition and the bathrooms were perfect! One downside, upon arriving, housekeeping did not take the time to inspect the bedding. All sheets had hairs all over along with black fuse, the comforters also were in need of a washing. After washing all bedding, we were set for a very happy ski vacation.

Great Trip!

Also they shoveled out the hot tub which was under 10' of snow! It was almost like walking through a snow canyon to get to it, but that just made it cooler.
