Great place to stay (but bring all the toiletries)

Ski trip weekend was amazing with the lovely combination of cozy living room with fireplace, hot tub, and snowy woodland view. Check in and out was incredibly easy. There is an oddly short timeline to send in a picture of your ID after booking, so be prepared for that. Also bring shampoo, conditioner, and soap for the shower.

The Timberland Retreat- is just that!

Our family loved the property! From when we first pulled up to see it was at the end of the culdesac, to the layout and space for everyone to find a quiet spot for themselves, to the fully and thoughtfully stocked kitchen, we all felt it was a home away from home! The lovely deck was the perfect place to enjoy all of our meals! We jacuzzi'd, played ping pong, and corn toss, as well as pulled out some games from the bunk bed room. The location was perfect, we walked to some trails and to the beach. What attracted me to the cabin were the big windows looking out on the surrounding forest, and I was so happy to have all of the views and the light inside the cabin. The management group and whole rental process was perfect! Thank you!!!

Fun at Timberland

As usual we had a wonderful time staying at this wonderful getaway. During our past stays we had access to the garage which provided security for our expensive toys i.e. golf clubs, bikes, kayaks. This year access was not provided. Fortunately nothing got stolen. Operation of the tv system is very frustrating. One click on the wrong button on one of several controllers and all is lost. For some reason this year the hot tub had frogs hopping around. The women got freak out. Aside from the minor issues we had a great time.

A very nice place

A clean roomy well stocked rental. Had 8 adults , plenty of space and bathrooms .2 small issues , we did run out of hot water during showers on the first day and had to spread things out a bit after that . Also one of could figure out how to get the able TV in th slicing room to work . Not a big deal since we don’t go there o watch TV but it would have been nice to have

Timberland Retreat

Lovely, quiet place -- a true retreat! Let's all work to keep the atmosphere of this location and respect the neighbors! House is very well equipped; clean; nice company to work with; good location; walking distance to nice rocky beach. An issue with the upstairs lights and one sink that I am confident will be taken care of. We will return to this quiet and comfortable home.

Perfect home vacation

Perfect rental for large families. 3 of the bedrooms have their own bathroom. Rental was very clean. Lot is beautiful. We spent nearly all our time at the house hanging out on the deck. Close to Sunnyside and public beach. We've rented a number of Tahoe rentals and this was the nicest by far! We would rent again!

Homey Experience

Timberland Retreat Cabin was perfect for my family and I! We enjoyed our stay and the location was great for us. A Christmas tree was already provided and in the livingroom which we loved. Cabin was provided with extra towels, blankets, bed sheets, etc. Definitely felt welcomed and would highly recommend to friends and families!

Wonderful stay

We spent four nights at the Timberland cabin and had a great time! The property is just a few miles south of Tahoe City, and about a half hour north of Emerald Bay, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The home itself is well equipped and comfortable. It was a great surprise to us when we opened the garage and found table tennis and corn hole games! During warmer months this is like an entirely new area to hang out and have fun! I'd absolutely recommend this place for families and friends that need four bedrooms. Each bedroom having its own bathroom made getting ready/showering extremely easy.

Good walking cabin

This is a great location and the home is Very good! Only two issues: Road work all week in the street to the home (on a cul de sac), and the upstairs doesn't have a ceiling fan, so was warmer. We had bears one night too, opened all the car doors!

Fantastic vacation home for a family reunion

The group of us included people from four different cities, and we were all happy to have this home as our vacation home. The home is at the end of a residential street and neighbors a large wooden area with a remote feel. The house was stocked well with everything we needed, and the hot tub was a hit. Our only surprise was that two of the showers (out of four bathrooms total) had clear glass without privacy until the windows condensed over. We thought that was a bit odd and funny, but it was not a problem since there were two showers with complete privacy. We would book this home again for a repeat vacation.

A great cabin!

We had no issues come up during our stay at this house. It was as advertised and worked wonderfully for us to stay with two other families. Walls were surprisingly sound-proof which was a huge plus given that we had several children all on different nap schedules.

Great House!

Timberland was a wonderful place to stay! The house is beautiful and accommodated three generations of our family very comfortably. It is the best equipped house that we’ve ever rented, and conveniently located to Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley. Would definitely choose to rent it again in the future!

Very adequate and comfortable.

We had a great family visit. It was very cold weather but the house was nicely heated. The kitchen was furnished well with cookware and dishes. WiFi, tv and dvd worked w/o difficulty.The only suggestion for improvement would be new mattresses for some of the beds.

We loved using the recreation games and BBQ, peaceful mornings on the deck and walks to the lake. One minus is no close access to Lake Tahoe. I wish they had beach chairs for us to use when we did go to the beaches. The kitchen is very well stocked. I wish the office staff could have answered my kitchen questions because I brought up items that I did not need such as a blender, a griddle, good brownie pan, spices. There was no popcorn popper.
