I was a little concerned about this place as when I contacted them before my stay, I heard nothing back. However 24 hours out I was messaged all the details, and they were available to msg throughout my stay. Be aware that this is an old building; very narrow stairs, low ceilings, unusual layouts and very warm in the summer, but it was basic and comfy- exactly what I wanted. There are no lifts here, so be aware that any luggage you take you will have to lug it up to 3 flights of narrow steep stairs. The building has a code on the front door, which made me feel extra safe, and when I opened the door to our room, it had a big floor fan already working it's magic. This place has restaurants and cafes all under it, and there was no food smell in the rooms, yay!! Small little kitchen on 2 of the floors were clean, tidy and very well stocked! It was in such a fantastic spot, restaurants, bars and cafes all in proximity, a Sainsburys Local and Tesco Express 2 minitues from the door, 3x train stations within 15min walk, and Tower Bridge was literally a 20 minute stroll. The place was a little small, and the stairs were a killer (I'm so unfit) but overall, this place was clean, tidy, and a great sleeping spot for someone exploring London.

I enjoyed my stay, it was exactly what I needed. It is a small room with a bathroom, that is it. If you have ever lived in a dorm, this will bring you back to those days. LOL There was no A/C that I saw, but there was a fan. If you go in the summer, you will more than likely roast. All that aside, this was perfect for my needs as I only needed a place to sleep and shower. Location is close to Tower Bridge (10 minute walk). It was easy to get a decent cup of coffee/tea in the AM. Main underground and bus lines are near Tower Bridge so that too is a plus. As I noted above, all I needed was a place to sleep and shower. If that works for you, this place will work perfectly for you. There was a fridge in my room. There was also a desk in my room, but not a chair, so if you need to work, you may need to see if they can get you a chair. A TV was also in the room, but I did not use it, so I am not sure what that offers. There are other rooms in close proximity to you. If you are a light sleeper, the traffic and 'neighbors' will be heard. Due to the size of the room, if there are two of you, you better like each other. If you each have luggage (say a carry on and a larger bag), it'll get tight quick. One last thing to note, if you are on the upper floors, the stairs are very narrow. Carrying large luggage can be difficult if you are not up to the task.

Actually I got this horel because I had an exam in white chapel building and that was very close. I had issue in check in they didn't put any key or password and when I artived they were not there and my phone charge was finished and I went to the near restaurant and ask them to call the phone and then they send me a code. That was struggling. But the room and amneties for the proce was reasonable and I was happy with them. Bed and rest room and shower area were very neat and clean and there was a kitchen there that you can go and warm your food and keep your food refrigerated and it was very economic for a person want to stay at the central london with least price and I strongly recommend it to traveler. Pls ask the owner to provide complete information separately for you for check in in advance.

The reception desk was unmanned, and when I got through to the mobile phone number stuck on the front door, there was confusion over what booking they had. The room was sparse, with no reading light. The promised facilities (kettle, microwave etc) were in a shared "kitchen". The alleged "sound proofed" rooms were defeated by the neighbouring railway and road junction.

Convenient and clean place to stay

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The check in is easy. The room is small but very clean with all amenities available. The bed is comfortable and we have a good night sleep. Kitchen is clean with microwave and drinks provided. Excellent location with walkable distance to many attractions.

good location for a fair price

We wanted a place to sleep for a few nights while exploring London, and it lived up to our expectations. There was a slight smell of mold in the bathroom, and a loud hum outside the window in the evening. But it's at a good location and for a fair price, so we are happy with our stay.

A fairly basic small B&B type hotel with a few rooms and a kitchen that guests can use to make tea/coffee or your own breakfast. Everything was very clean and my single room was small but very quiet and had a refurbished bathroom with good shower. Friendly owner was very welcoming. The location was convenient for the Tower Hill area with good tube connections from there and/or Aldgate East.
