Getting the key was easy but all during our stay, we had trouble unlocking both the entrance to the building and our room. The keys were difficult to turn and the locks themselves were loose. The room was small with a kitchen area - sink, refrigerator, and hot plate. A microwave would have been more useful. There was no sink in the bathroom so shaving was difficult going from the kitchen sink to a mirror in the main part of the room. The first night the bed was uncomfortable. You could feel the springs which made it hard to sleep. The next morning we found the boxspring was upside down. We turned it over and had no problems afterwards. It is 1 block away from the Seven Sisters tube stop, which is about a 30 minute trip to the theatre district and main shopping areas. A Sainsbury grocery and a Tesco Supermarket are a block away and small independent grocers and shops line the streets nearby.

The studio room 3 was very different from what was shown in the photos and several issues made the stay unsafe and uncomfortable. There was a smell of damp as soon as we entered the building, causing coughing and sneezing for both of us. The bathroom was more like a shower and toilet inside a cupboard, and the positioning of the shower made it dangerous when climbing out. There was no bathroom sink for washing hands or brushing teeth, the space felt completely unfit for purpose. I contacted the host about the microwave that I was told was in the downstairs kitchen, but they couldn’t tell me where it was, and still couldn’t in further communication. The photos also showed a built-in stovetop, yet room 3 only had a portable stove hidden in a cupboard, which was misleading. The landing light flickered constantly, triggering migraines each time we entered or left the room. The stair carpet on both levels was dangerously loose, creating a clear trip hazards. There was no wardrobe or proper storage space despite the listing suggesting otherwise, and overall the room felt more like a small space with a kitchen sink and toilet in a cupboard than the advertised apartment. An upgrade wasn’t realistic either, as the other two rooms were clearly occupied. With all these problems, especially the safety concerns, we were unable to stay a second night. I reported the issues to the host, but no realistic solutions or explanations were offered.

The room was clean but shower room very small. Whilst there was a kettle there was no tea or coffee provided. No curtains and the blinds did a poor job in keeping the early morning sunlightout so did not skeep well. Would probably not stay here again.
