"This was a solo trip for theatre week and it was perfection! Location is super convenient and the solo room (with window) was the perfect size for me. It had been 20 years since I had stayed there and the upgrades to the hotel were wonderful. Although I never ate at the hotel there were plenty of wonderful food options in the area. I always bring a sound machine with me, so I never heard any noise from the hallway during the evening. Will definitely stay there again on my next solo trip."

The reception area itself is a pleasure to sit in quiet, comfortable, the kind of place where you can actually lose yourself in a book without feeling rushed or out of place. And that is precisely what happened. A young Gentleman on the team with a warmth and trust that said everything about the culture of this place, allowed me to borrow a book and finish reading it in the room instead of the designated lobby, which is a symbol of trust. Sometimes when we are in a hurry to get everything done at once, it turns out that we are late with everything and this time the team showed class that sometimes Savoy or Ritz could envy. Massive „Thank you” to Adi to let me stay and finish my chapter past the expected moment to leave. She and the rest of the crew bring a level of genuine hospitality that most five-star hotels would struggle to match. In a city that charges you for every breath, Rest Up London offers something rare: real value, real comfort, and people who actually care. Not because they have to, but because it shows. Already looking forward to the next stay."

"This listing is incomplete. Right off the bat, they wanted £40 to check-in early. Rather than give available rooms to folks first come first served like other hotels, they wanted more money. The cocoon concept seemed pretty cool, except the room we got… - has no windows - is split in two vertically so you have to crawl around like you’re camping (hit my head twice) and the ladder is in the way of the bottom one - there is nowhere to put stuff except in the crawl spaces in front of the bed and one “platform” for one suitcase (no nightstand, no counter space in the bathroom, no closet, no hangers, no desk) had to use the toilet and the top of the garbage can - there is nowhere to sit except the bed, and the toilet - nothing in the room (no coffee, no iron, no hair dryer, no TV, no cups, no ice bucket, nada) - no front desk (though it says so on the amenities) only a row of iPads for self check-in and a few people loitering around - no phone to call the non-existent front desk to ask if they have any of the items above - lots of outlets for charging, yet none in the bathroom for hair drying (brought our own)(maybe it’s UK code) - not see through but translucent bathroom divider (I left the room while my daughter showered) - can’t turn the AC down below 19 degrees but room never got below 23 - then, to top it all off, they wanted £45 to out the bags in storage at checkout - same price as a few other “normal”/“real” hotels, not including early check-in fees and fee"

"Breakfast was good and slightly different everyday. The location is perfect for seeing all the attractions and to the underground if you want to get around that way. I was staying there for my birthday and they left a sweet note and a cute gift of teas for me! I didn’t even tell them it was my birthday so the fact they paid attention to that detail means a lot. I definitely recommend this hotel! "

"One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever enjoyed. The manager and staff were very cooperative, especially as we have special dietary requirements my little one is coeliac (gluten intolerance) and there were also plenty of halal options available."
