“We had a wonderful stay! The staff members were so friendly and helpful, as was the owner Pam. They really made us feel at home. The villas are beautiful charming little suites with the bedroom and bathroom in an upstairs loft. The gardens and pool are all very enchanting and well kept. The location is perfect- on a very quiet street but everything you need is right aground the corner. Very close to the town center. Perfect stay! ”

“We love this property. Close to everything downtown and very easy to get a taxi anywhere you want to go. Breakfast in the morning is amazing! Rooms are very spacious. Love the pool overlooking the water. Our only complaint is don’t get a room overlooking breakfast area if you don’t like noise. Walls are thin and the blanking of the dishes is a bit much. But the hotel was so nice to change rooms for us. All in all a wonderful place to stay. ”

Location is a little away from downtown which we found to be more quiet. Felt safe walking around even at night. There are several great food options within a few blocks. Would definitely stay again when in the area. ”

“it was a rainy day in Cozumel and my room was flooded. The entire corner by the window was flooded completely and I had to place towels to soak up the waterfall. When I told the front desk, they did not seem bothered. They did not apologies at all. They just said that when they had time someone would go and fix the issue. Funny to say the fix was an extra two towels by the window. This place is falling apart and it does not worth the $$$ I spent. At least I was expecting an apology.”

“It was a two sided review. First, I was put in a room that was at the back of the property that the view was into some bushes that I looked through to see a tennis court. Not the garden property view what is advertised. Then no restaurant as advertised on their website, it was closed. Then the advertised and pictured beach wasn’t a beach, it apparently belongs to a closed hotel and a guard who chased me off to a totally rocky area. After my initial review I was upgraded on the second day to a……

“Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We were in Cozumel visiting friends for four days and found Puerto Libre to be in an excellent spot right on the strip. It was far enough away from the cruise ship ports to be quiet yet accessible to all the hotspots. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“This is a lovely little gem on Cozumel—very laid-back and family-style. The property is run by a very friendly and attentive owner who is often on-site, which made the stay feel safe and welcoming. The location is excellent: walkable to the ferry terminal, main transportation areas, and many restaurants. My room was small and very basic, but the peaceful courtyard was beautiful and really the highlight of the stay. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re visiting the island for a night or two and……

“Hotel Mary Carmen is a beautiful hotel which exceeded our expectations! Location is safe, quiet, very walkable (5min from the ferries, 1min from the plaza), and easy to find upon arrival. We loved the old-fashioned style with shared living spaces, and the garden and turtles. We appreciated the free water refill jugs on each floor and the first aid kits free for use. Our room was large (we got a free upgrade) and clean, had great wifi, quiet and functional AC unit, tidy bathroom, and good water……
