Nakano Pet-friendly Hotel

"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! "The staff was friendly and nice. The van driver gave us rides to and from Snow Monkey Park and to the train station - very helpful! We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast came with the plan. We also enjoyed the inside/outside hot springs. Affordable hotel with excellent customer service!"

"Uotoshi is remarkable value for money and is also unique. The owner is very welcoming with great English. The Ryokan is older and somewhat rundown but it is also a community hub that has sing along classes for local kids (Rudolph the red nose reindeer in Japanese is awesome) and have fun with English nights. "軽井沢駅から車でたっぷり３０分強の別荘地。 建物は新しくとても綺麗に整備されています。 今回は雨でＢＢＱができませんでしたが広めのデッキにＢＢＱコンロなど整っています。 キッチンはＩＨ、炊飯器、冷蔵庫、エアコン、洗濯機全て揃っています。 薪暖炉を使えば寒い日でも暖かく過ごせます。 ２階寝室のドアの立て付けが悪く湿気を帯びると木が膨張して閉まりませんσ(^_^;)それと、ハンガー掛けがなく脱いだ上着など保管する設備が必要かと思います。"
