Saint Malo is great

The house is dated but the lagoon porch and Saint Malo address make up for it. There is a house under construction near the beach right now, but once done that will be great as well.

Perfect Beach Cottage

The house was great. Plenty of space for our family and friends. The kitchen was well stocked with paper towels and napkins. Had some spices and seasonings and plenty of pots and pans. I thought the beds were comfortable and the couch was really comfortable (I may have taken a nap or two). We loved looking out at the pond behind us. There were some cons but not enough to make us unhappy. The beach we were used to visiting at St Malo has been washed away. The upper level is there with the volleyball court, but not the lower beach. So the waves crash on the rocks and the steps. We drove 10 minutes south to Tamarack beach in Carlsbad and really enjoyed that beach. Overall a great place to relax and make memories with friends and family. We loved it.

Love love this place. The entire community of Saint Malo was beautiful and loved learning the history. The house was amazing and everything you could possibly need for a wonderful weekend. We lived the privacy and slow pace of This home. Owners have done an amazing job.

Beautiful home and neighborhood

We loved our stay here at Malo Beach. We didn’t lack for anything during our stay, between the well stocked kitchen, garage full of toys (bikes, tennis rackets, boogie boards etc) and roomy accommodations for our group of 7 we enjoyed a Thanksgiving holiday to remember. The location is beautiful, quiet and safe. We were steps from the beach and loved the quaint Malo Beach neighborhood. Will definitely be back!

Great home!

This home really has it all and everyone loved it. The furniture was comfortable. The kitchen well apportioned. There was plenty of accommodating space for everyone to come together, and have their own private time. There was no beach, but Carlsbad is a short 7 minute drive away, and Oceanside beaches are just a little further. Even so, the fact that this house is situated right on the water was relaxing and a great way to have morning coffee or an evening drink. The streets are nice and safe so a great place for little ones to ride their bikes and a great place to walk around and just enjoy the beauty of the surrounding properties.

Hidden Gem

I love this house. It is our second time staying at this home in Saint Malo. It's so quiet and easy to relax here. The home is right on the lagoon. The only downside was that Saint Malo Beach has lost it's sand beach over the last year because they haven't been able to pump in sand first because of the pandemic, and then because of an ecological issue that has put it on hold to not interfere with the fish that are migrating through. This house has large rooms and comfortable beds. Vacasa also made it very easy to deal with any questions we had. Thank you!
