A NIGHTMARE - do not book this property
I’m not sure who gave this property 5 star reviews, but it can't be the same home we stayed in..
I want to preface my review with the host did fully refund me however, having to find another place to house my family in the midst of vacation several hours away from home was not in my game plan..
The house was FILTHY. It reeked of rotten eggs which was coming from the water. I confirmed with a nearby homeowner that apparently this is normal in the area but the smell was so strong that it stayed in our hair after showering. There was dust everywhere, it didn't seem to be clean or sanitized whatsoever! I wish VRBO would allow for me to upload photos. There was a security system in the entrance foyer area of the home with a camera?! I have never seen this before and made us all so uncomfortable, especially due to the fact that it was located right beside the master bedroom... Strange.
There was BLOOD on the shower curtains and on one of the bed sheets. The upstairs bathroom was UNUSABLE. The host offered for his cleaners to come clean, but at that point, we just wanted to get out of there. Handprints all over the metal mattress frame in the master bedroom. Hair particles and dust clearly on the stairs on master bed.
When we went to use the new set of sheets to place over the sleeper mattress, several ping pong balls fell out of the sheets and on to the floor. This could have been something whoever stayed in here last did and goes to show that these sheets were not washed..
