「Overall this was a great spot. Very spacious and comfortable—the bed was especially comfortable. The bathroom, specifically the toilet, (room 301) was not as clean as would be expected, but we understand that can happen. Some areas of the room could have used updating, but overall it was really accommodating and we’d definitely go back. 」

「Delightful and funky. Spa robes were ready at the foot of the bed, the fire warmed the room, there was no sink in the bathroom, and the kitchen outlet was directly over the quality Italian range. Desolation Hotel is isolated at the end of Hope Valley, which was an essential part of the Emmigrant Trail. The "hotel" is a collection of comfortable cabins hidden in the trees above the restaurant/lobby & outdoor bar & dining area. It is an ideal location for those who like hiking or trout fishing.」

Our accommodations suited us perfectly, were spotlessly clean, and provided everything we needed for our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful with our questions. Being just steps from the gondola made getting to the slopes a breeze and we appreciated the ski valet at the end of a long day of skiing. We will stay here again!」

「We stayed in the studio room. Good enough space for 2 adults and 2 children. With the couch extended as a bed, though, it gets a little crammed with the table. The bathroom had a lot space. Enough to place our sleds in the corner with plenty of space still. It was a good addition to add hooks by the door for all our winter clothes too. The best part of Marriott’s Timber Lodge Tahoe would have to be the location! Right outside is the Gondola, restaurants, rentals, and shops. Everything walking...
