Sandos Playacar was an amazing all inclusive place to stay at! The food was very good and staff members Melisa, Zyanya, Majo, and Mar were very excellent! They reserved all of our dinner places for us and we had a big party, they did a good job at accommodating all of us. They constantly kept in touch with us and updating us and confirmed all dinners and communicated well. This place was excellent to stay at there was so many things to do and fun for the family of all ages!

Nice resort with friendly staff. Overall we had a great time. The animals throughout the resort were fun to see. Plenty of chairs at the beach. There were several issues that would make me hesitate to come back. We were in the adult only section. The adult pool allows people to save chairs which is something I dislike but if there were enough chairs it wouldn’t be such a problem. Twice we were unable to sit at the pool. I did ask if they could put out more chairs. Didn’t happen. Second the restaurant reservation system is horrendous. I was told to use the app. There were no open reservations for any of 6 restaurants for the first 4 nights. My daughter’s boyfriend was in contact with employee who was able to get us reservations for several nights. Restaurants were ok. Nice change from the buffet which was pretty good. We had teenagers in our group but no young kids. There are activities for both. Seems very family oriented. I would recommend for families with kids but there are better options in adult only resorts. We’ve stayed at several others that I would recommend.

The beach was clean and well provided with lounge chairs and activities for those who want them such as volleyball and water sports. It was a busy March Break week but the beach and the restaurants were not crowded and line-ups for food were short. The buffet was really great for breakfast and lunch.

The expedia staff on site (Melisa, Zanaya and team) are excellent. Really appreciated their attentiveness. They helped make the trip. Rooms are good but could use some updating and air conditioners need updating. Room luggage racks would be good. Bar staff were good. Adult pool and access seemed oversold, could never get in chairs at pool. Speakers by pool and beach can be loud at times but just try and get seats away from there. Pools are great for kids and families.

There was no swim up bar at the adults only pool, only on the family side. We were constantly being approached by staff for massage, time share options, paid activities, etc. We could not find an adults only late night bar. Adults section is quite small, otherwise you have to mingle with the families.

The food was the best I've experienced at an all inclusive. (If you cannot get the reservation you want, keep trying, people cancel and openings happen). Long and narrow resort, mobility options would on property would be nice. I had spinal surgery and made sure to book a scooter to be delivered. (Motion4rent) Lots of activities available for adults and children. Wish the evening entertainment was earlier but we have a 2 hour time change so 😕 The staff was very gracious especially the ladies at the Expedia Desk. They checked in on our needs often and made sure our they were met, including repairing our sliding patio door. Didn't want to leave and will return.

The pools were great for the kids, with plenty of options from quieter spaces and more active areas. The beach was nice, but there was a lot of seagrass. We were still able to swim. The guest services staff of Melisa, Mar, Majo, and Zyanya made us feel like VIP's for the entire trip. They would check in with us daily to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything. Certainly worth booking this hotel through Expedia.

We stayed in the adult only towers which are not updated. They had an older feel but they were clean and had everything we needed. The housekeepers did a great job. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was amazing. The adult only pool could use more shade/ chairs. Every chair at the adult only pool was taken before 8am so we always sat at the beach instead. Unfortunately the sargassum was early this year and there was a lot on the beach but it didn’t ruin our trip. The staff were amazing always helpful and friendly thank you to the experience team - Melisa, zyanya, mar and Maria were amazing and helpful with anything we needed. The seek and go helped set up our excursion and we used private transfer from Canadian transfer which was also great. We had ala carte italian and it was wonderful. The buffet was great so much selection and everything was good

This property was highly enjoyable. The rooms were clean and roomy. We loved the variety of pool areas to change up Centro day to day. Sandos has personalized Expedia reps to assist you on your stay to assure reservation bookings, help with excursions and always checked on us to assure our stay was enjoyable. The staff make amazing drinks and all the food and buffets had a wide variety of food and was tasty. Would def stay here again.

We spent most of the time in the adult only pool. It was very nice. Need to get there early to get chairs. They had fun activities every day. The adult only pool should have a swim up bar. Our room faced the beach. It was a lovely view. We did not really use the beach because of the sargussom. There was a lot of it in the ocean and on the shore. We did not notice a smell until our last day when we were leaving. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would especially like to recognize the Expedia reps at the hotel Melisa and Majo. They were fabulous. They helped make all of our dinner reservations, scheduled luggage pick up, gave us information about getting to 5th Avenue and checked in with us every day on What's App to see if we needed anything and how things were going. We were able to ask them questions and they would respond quickly. They made us feel special and were so attentive. The room was clean and roomy. Nice to have a balcony and ocean view. The air conditioning was very cold and we couldn't figure out how to turn it down. The water in the shower was not warm. It was cool. Neither of these were deal breakers. We managed. The room could use more hooks to hang wet bathing suits and towels. There were only 2 in the bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay. It was so relaxing. Just what we needed. We would recommend this place to others. We feel we got a good value for the price we paid. The food was good. All of the restaurants were good service.

Un service Guest Experience exceptionnel! Nous avons voyagé en famille, un groupe de 10 personnes, et avons réservé 3 chambres. Malheureusement, nous avons rencontré quelques problèmes dans notre chambre : le détecteur de fumée qui bipait sans arrêt pendant la nuit, l’air climatisé qui fuyait et une chambre également très sombre. Cependant, je tiens à souligner le service exceptionnel de l’équipe Guest Experience. Les filles ont été formidables et ont fait tout leur possible pour rendre notre séjour très agréable. Elles nous ont aidés à réserver les restaurants, ont été très à l’écoute et toujours rapides à trouver des solutions. Elles ont contribué de façon significative à la réussite de notre séjour. Had a great experience and the Expedia representatives were the most helpful we have encountered. Help us navigate trips off resort, book dining and even brought a cake and set up a time to bring to dinner to surprise our mother. Would highly recommend.

Check in was easy and our stay was made even better with our Expedia concierge staff who were available via WhatsApp! I want to give a special shout out to Melisa, Zyanya, Mar, and Maria for making our experience more enjoyable. They made reservations easy to book for the various restaurants on-site. I would definitely recommend this place for couples and families! And thank you again to Maria for surprising us for our anniversary with a few treats at dinner.

We enjoyed our stay here at Sandos. Everything we needed was right on the resort property, so we did not have to leave at all during our stay. Our family enjoyed snorkeling, parasailing, and having our photos taken right on the property beach. We did wake up to cold water one morning but that was fixed in a timely manner.

Our ground floor room opened up to pool area which was relatively quiet, with a poolside cocktail bar and daily lunch served at the small restaurant. The hotel was very comfortable, with walkways through the jungle to the beach with many small mammals and lizards along the way. We loved the sustainability of the complex (no plastic bottles, straws etc) and excellent restaurants. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the Guest Experience team of Melisa, Zyanya, Mar & Maria who helped with excursions and restaurants. They also arranged a surprise cake to celebrate our anniversary, which was very nice. Overall, an excellent relaxing place, but does need some renovation during the offseason.
