"We checked in with friends and were horrified to find a dusgusting property that reeked of mold, had disgusting things in the refridgerator such as someone’s needles and dirty kitchen drawers. We were so shocked and revolted that we left although we had just purchased 500 worth of groceries. I have stayed at numerous vrbo’s and never had an issue until now. Trying to get a refund. "I booked this home in a gated community of Lunamar for an escape of my Canadian winter and my love for Mexico and the food. I booked for a 5 week stay. initially, the first two weeks I was alone, so the house was amply comfortable, with 3 bed & bathrooms, kitchen/living/dining room a very small outdoor patio off the kitchen that is presently unfinished with gravel flooring and a wonderful 3rd floor patio with a covered tarp and solar lighting at night. Ocean Maya Royale - Adults Only - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"The staff here make it so amazing! It is an older resort and they have updated some things. The sidewalk around the outer buildings like 7 and 8 is really broken up. Can easily twist an ankle. Food was really good, not "foodie" good but we had no trouble finding something yummy. Blue Moon steak, excellent! The sushi at the Japanese restaurant delish, ate there 4 nights. Mexican restaurant also great. There are 4 restaurants and buffet + coffee shop and sports bar and lunch time pizza near the pool! Drinks are plentiful and they are very accommodating to cocktails they don't know or make often. The beach was beautiful and they do a great job of cleaning up the seaweed. Our room was large and had Ocean view as a bonus! But again, the staff are what make this resort unforgettable! Huge shout out to all the staff whose names I didn't get and special thank you to Yovanneti, My Sweet, she rocks that outdoor service area like a SuperStar!! I drank Gin Manhattans at breakneck speed! Pool bar team Eber, Fabian, Miguel my Gin and Tonics were always full! Jorge, Ocatvio and Jose in the lobby made some delicious Negronis and Espresso Martinis! Fabian also took great care of us at the Sushi restaurant, what a sweetheart! Adrian and Angel gave great pool service! Kendall and the entertainment team have more energy than any other resort we have been to, and they've all been good, but this team...WOW! And our housekeeper Ineida kept our room looking immaculate! Thank you all!!!"
