“The hotel is lovely, we stayed overnight for a wedding in Room 27. The room was clean and fresh, the bathroom was renovated well and was modern. Unfortunately the bed is probably the worst we had ever slept in, we both had a terrible sleep. Two very uncomfortable single mattresses of slightly differing heights pushed together on a divan base, not at all what you would expect at over £200 a night. A mattress topper probably would have solved this issue however it was midnight when we got to bed……

“No restaurant closed got a voucher for seamill hydro should be telling you this when you book hotel”

“During the stay, fire alarm rings 5 times for no reasons. 2am+ 3am+ 5am+ 6am+ 9am+. And hotel don't care to tell what happen. We don't have good rest at all.”

“They never cleaned my room once and I was there for 7 days....I had to go ask for toilet paper and towels........some staff were nice others rather curt....I found the food awful only ate there 3 times that was enough for me did not like the fact you had to go up to the bar order food pay for before I sat down...........Now I have left a necklace there by mistake I have phoned my cousin in the same town and asked her to check with them in room 108 we will see if it has been had back to the……

“Loved my stay”

“Ok room, bathroom looks old and tired but works adequately. It’s an old building so don’t expect luxury but all was ok. Good breakfast and helpful staff.”

“We just had one night here before catching the early ferry to Isle of Arran and it was perfect. Good location with allocated parking spot. Easy check in with clear instructions upfront. Well equipped room, nicely decorated and a comfortable bed. We had room 6 at the back, which was very quiet. Also convenient for eating out in town. Would recommend.”

“room was spotless ,hotel gardens where beautiful, dinner and breakfast was amazing.reason for 3 star rating was given due to reception staff not dealing with our complaint of having no hot water when showering before dinner and was not much better the following morning.”

“small , well equipped, we'll worth the visit”

“Nice hotel. Restaurant & bar are very nice with decent food offerings and the staff were great. Very friendly and professional. The room was spacious and clean and really appreciated the extra touches like robe & slippers and room service. Decent coffee machine in the rooms too! Only thing I’d say is some of the rooms have a little dated decor, but are well equipped and clean with a comfortable bed and loads of little extras. So for the price & location… great value and definitely will stay……
