“We had a wonderful stay at Villa Shalimar! The space is exactly as the description and pictures show. Three nicely equipped villa's around a giant, multi level pool with a swim up bar. Plenty of shallow space safe for younger children (the youngest member of our party was 3) and deeper areas for the stronger swimmers. Check in was breeze, despite some of our party arriving much later than expected. Richard (concierge) came back to check the entire group in at 11 pm when the last of our group……

The kitchen is well-appointed and had literally everything we needed for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids, including more than enough plates, cups, wine glasses and silverware. The location is amazing! The pool overlooks the beach and ocean, which is right off the pool deck. The main downtown area is a short 10 minute walk away through a quiet and secure neighborhood. We felt very safe here. The rooms are all large and each has its own full……

“Our stay at Villa Turquesa was fabulous! We were a group of 8 (4 couples). There was ample room for the group; the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and everyone enjoyed their privacy. We spent most of our time outside, days around the pool on the first level, afternoons and evenings on the upper deck. We took full advantage of the concierge services offered by the house management. Andrea was incredible! Everything she arranged for us was perfect. She set up a trip to Tulum with an excellent……

“We were very comfortable in the home. We went during a time when there was rain every day. The near by beach was not much of a beach. But. Little ways there was a better beach. The 5th Ave was walking distance. Any communication was quick and effective. If you like a relaxing trip, this this the place to be.”

“This was a great property for our family. We love the easy beach access and proximity to town. No complaints. Everything was great.”

“We had a wonderful stay in paradise. The Pictures don’t give it justice. From Stafan, to his staff we felt like kings and queens. I definitely recommend hiring chef Ramiro, he is amazing! We felt very safe and comfortable in the community. Lots do there from shopping, tons of restaurants and you can swim with dolphins! I highly recommend getting a golf cart or two depending on how many in your group. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year!”

“Beautifully decorated, clean, very comfortable beds. Highlight is the small garden and bedroom balcony with tropical plants and birds singing. Lovely original art. Awesome to meet the owners as well! We would definitely book Toltec House again. Great month, gracias to Gabriela and Alex as well!”

"This is the worst 5-star all-inclusive experience our family had during christmas. We did not have hot shower for three nights and the room has been freezing cold. We informed the hotel the first night and they kept sending maintenance people without fixing it. And whats worse, they did not really care about our problems. Everytime I called them, I need to explain the situation again. And what I got is 'we will send someone to fix' ' the hotel is fully booked so not possible to change the room' or 'this is the general problem'. The daily activities and restaurants are good but I think the room itself is the basic of which the problem and technicians visits, really bother our holiday mood."
