“The location is only 4 minutes drive to Big Bend which is a big plus for us. We stayed there 4 nights, and the host is responsive and keep the trash in our room cleaned every day. The check in and check out thrue texting is also convenient for us because we check in late and check out early thanks to the smart door lock. The layout is practical and in room appliances (microwave, fridge, hair blower) are also help us staying in there for easy breakfast and dinner. Overall, I recommend this……

“Pretty rough, toilet would not flush unless assisted by raising tank lid, shower tub ultra slick and very slow to drain, the curtain was see through, cigarette butts scattered outside the door, bedspread was creepy, no shampoo but a tiny bar of soap, light and air leaks at top and bottom of door, only one bug in bath! “I'll be honest Willow House is part of why I committed to this trip. I saw it online and thought, this alone is worth going. And I say that as someone who has been burned by listings that oversell and underdeliver. Willow House is the opposite. The photos do not do it justice. The decor, the style, the way everything fits the landscape. It's minimal desert architecture done exactly right. Not only was the design thought out and intentional, but they clearly thought through the entire experience……

“The place was very clean, and as listed had pretty complete kitchen which we enjoyed. Bedrooms are a bit tight but we managed. Experienced record heat but ac worked great! Good location for visit to Big Bend. We should’ve stayed 2 nights. ”

“No wi-fi and no tv were two of the main perks. The dark skies and end of the road location were the main attraction. The nearby hiking trails and endless beauty were the surprise. The desert had just had rain so it was blooming everywhere (luck, not good timing) which added to the awe. The room was dated but clean and neat. Only disappointment was that the restaurant was being remodeled so the option was a food truck. AS someone who has lived nearly 40 years in Texas, I was surprised and……
